I was interested in a depiction of a crusader knight of a military order as a full representation of their background: having left their homeland for economic or social reasons, filled with the conviction that only liberating the Holy Land by force would ensure a place in Heaven and having foregone any expectation of family life. Rod and I agreed on the "Knight, 1220" kit by Black Dog (CZ).

Rod is supremely talented. I have seen his work in person at the Valley Forge show. He also used to do superb dis for the Eastern Front.
