Here are some recent conversions of the new CTS German figures, some TSSD and Conte parts were used.

More excellent conversions.
It looks like they interchange with TSSD and Conte well enough.
My DDay beach needs more defenders.
Thanks for the new ideas.

Yes, they are a wee bit bigger than some Conte's and very close to most TSSD figures. The sculpting "style" is also very similar to TSSD's, so they blend pretty well.

I was very impressed with these CTS figures when I got them the other day. Now, after seeing how you've converted them, especially the figures with the Conte parts, I'm feelin' the converting bug biting me. Great job!

I actually didn't use very many Conte parts - the arm with a grenade on the laying fellow (converted from the wounded German in the medical figures set, the head on the officer with a map and the hand/arm holding the map, along with the head of the guy carrying the stetcher (Conte GI head with TSSD field cap added).

Good luck on your conversions. The CTS figures are a fairly soft plastic that cuts easily - makes converting a bit easier :)

Do you use Kneadatite to connect the different parts ?
The soft plastic figures usually are a hassle to keep them attached.

Major assemblies (body halves, etc) I use 5-minute epoxy
Minor assemblies - weapon to hand, canteen to belt, I use ACC ("super glue")
I do use kneadatite as a filler, and it can serves as an adhesive, it's just not my primary choice.

So far my primary customer hasn't had too many complaints about things falling off :)

You ARE right, the soft plastic is a royal pain to ensure that you get a good bond. That's why body parts, arms, legs, etc get supported with pieces of brass wire - I use Details Associates (a model RR supplier) which is available in multiple sizes. On the figures above the barrels and gas chambers of the two StG44's are brass wire with Detail Associates flat wire bent for front sights. I also used brass flat wire for the SMG sling on the kneeling MP40 gunner.

I admire Gary Dutko and his technique which uses a hot knife to join the soft Conte figures, but I haven't taken time to learn it. I have a system that works pretty good for me, so I tend to stick with it.
