After assisting the settlers at McDowell's Mill, where Indains killed 4 and captured 1 just eight days ago, the relief column finally returns to Fort Granville, a Provencial fort on the Juniata River. Safe at last, so they think, although they have a feeling as if being watched. Little do they know that in two days a large party of French and Indians will attack their stockade and burn it to the ground.

Mike

Couldn't help myself tonight - ordered blockhouse #3 and #4 - now I will have all 4 corners of my stockade covered.

Help me out here please, instead of just a block house I can build lets say a fort with four sections of the blockhouse at the corners and then fill in with the stockade when it comes out? Or do you have four complete blockhouses for the corners? Thanks Joel

That sounds like it will be impressive and that you are entirely committed to the FIW and the work of John Jenkins. Look forward to seeing the completed fort and stockade. Happy to see you playing with your soldiers and coming up with story lines.

I have two complete blockhouses in possession and another two complete blockhouse ordered for a total of four. I have two stockade sets preordered. My plans are to build a complete stockade with a blockhouse at each corner. I plan to use the completed stockade as a backdrop for dioramas depicting the FIW in the Cumberland Valley (western PA) from 1756-1758.
