In the pollystone plane range id love to see a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk made? Hopefully in RAF markings with the teeth painted on the front

P-40B is one of my favorite aircraft. Would love to see it in pre-war, Pearl Harbor, or AVG colors. What a great looking aircraft this is and along with the Mitsubishi Zero, a couple of the best looking aircraft, ever. -- Al

Totally agree just love the look of this aircraft probably my favourite from world war II era! Dont get me wrong the iconic spitfire is ace but this one just pips it to the post in my books!

Its the sharks teeth that make it look so dramatic its also a nice plane to look at. Don't think the Spit could carry of the teeth thing properly.

It was a great looking aircraft Al; to me the best looking American fighter of the war. Pity it did not fly as well as it looked but still a great addition to any collection.

It was the perfect aircraft to carry those sharkteeth. That huge intake was just the perfect gaping maw. I note the P-40B as oppossed to other makes such as the E. The B, with the nose mounted .50's, just had a sleek, menacing look that a fighter aircraft should have. The E with it's 6 .50's may have been the better armed fighter but it was the B that carried the Tigers to fame. Great plane. -- Al

K & C made the Desert version in wood. The favorite plane in my collection. The sharksteeth are iconic. K & C photo is attached.

Craig,

I agree. I think that a version of the P 40 needs to be made.

Can anyone a bit more versed in fighter plane history please explain the difference between a warhawk, kittyhawk & tomahawk?

Cheers Craig

I think the Kittyhawk was the British name for the P-40 export version. Tomahawk was the name of the early B & C versions. Warhawk was the name for the up gunned later versions. Don't hold me to this, going off a rather dim memory. -- Al

Thanks Al that explains a lot! So its a kittyhawk that I'd like to see made if that's what the RAF version is know as

Cheers Craig

I think KittyHawk sounds much better. Lets hope its sooner rather than later that discussion is about the polystone detail
