Would there be a legit market and interest for Custer's last stand figures, with correct weapons and uniform detail? I am a cowboy and indian fan, so I may be the only one......Michael

You don't stand alone, I've been clamoring for a decent set for years. BMC just doesn't do it for me. P & P may have the largest selection in plastic that's available. I saw on the MIchigan Toy Soldiers site under news that there is a new line of Custers figures that will be produced but so far only one picture has been posted, this is in metal.

Andy talked about re-releasing "the West" series with a Custer's Last Stand set for the recent big anniversary, but it never happened. I don't know if he still plans on doing it.

I would go for a Custer's Last Stand series. Missed out on the earlier stuff, so any new releases would be a definate.

MTSC has a small preview of an upcoming Custer's last stand series on their website. From what I see they look like they will be pretty good. I have almost all of K&C's original west series and love them. I wish Andy had returned to this series with updated sculpting and poses.

Thanks for the heads up. I agree, looks very good stuff from what you can see. Doesn't mention which manufacturer these are from. Any ideas?

Simon

K/C who.......? I want to know who these guys are?

I even tried downloading the box image and blowing up the photo, but the name was too blurry........Michael

This is some of the other figures in the preview. Looks like some great poses. I tried blowing up the picture too no luck. Hopefully by the end of the month we should know. I really want to see the Indians and hopefully they will be reasonably priced.:D

Love the Calvary era, the Airfix and Marx are are good. The Gung Ho look ok, I hope Conte does a break through set in the future. I hope they are in plastic. Metals are nice to display, but plastics fight the battles. The new unnamed products look great, plastics are easier to convert. Mike.

Rick from MTS filled me in about this new line at Cold Wars and I plan on carrying it. Rick asked me to keep things under my hat so to speak until he was ready to announce it himself; all I can say is the manufacturer is a very well known company that does beautiful unpainted castings, I was very surprized to hear him tell me it was them doing this line. This is their first venture into prepainted figures and from what I can see, they have nailed it pretty good......

When you are able, let me know price and availability........Michael

Michael,
Will do, I think Rick said they would start rolling out in time for either Valley Forge in May or Historicon in July.........

I will probably be going to Valley Forge this year, usually Friday.......What are the dates? Michael

hello all

anyone have any info on who this new company Black Hawk? or is it a sister company to an existing white metal producer as was mentioned in anothe post?
Mich Toy Soldier info is still pretty vague,

i would love to see what else they produce in non painted figures as well, i'm thinking these ne Custer's Last Stand figures look pretty good and a GREAT subject to breach for myself anyway,

thanks in advance to anyone who could help,

take care all

The manufacturer of the figures is none other than Andrea, who produce beautiful unpainted castings. This is their first attempt at prepainted figures, I'd say they did an incredible job.............

george,

hmmmmmm, thats what i was thinking, thanks so much for the info, its much appreciated, sure is a pretty good attempt,

if you carry the line i think its definately going to be a winner for you and Andrea as well,

i wonder if they will release them unpainted as well,

I'm not sure if they will introduce the line in unpainted versions as they are trying to maximize their dollars on the painted ones.

I am very happy with the amount of preorders I have recieved on this line so far, it is very encouraging and I hope this is the first of many painted offerings from Andrea, they make beautiful castings...........
