So guys how many of you will be collecting this new range of the 7th Cavalry, its famous leader and equally famous adversaries? I love this period of history but unfortunately the War budget won't allow me to collect them but I'll enjoy watching the series unfold.

Looks like I'll be starting a new line. This is one of my favorite periods of history. Have been to the LBH Battlefield a lot so this series is a must for me...Ron

I would like to collect the series. But the budget does not allow.

Great series with some nice pieces however I won't be delving into this series due to money and space limitations but as is my collecting habit I might pick one or two token pieces from the series to represent this era :redface2:.........but its way down the old buy list.

I have the original series so won't be collecting this new release.
Obviously the sculpting and painting has been upgraded but the nostalgia and collectibility of my older collection will suffice.

I've had them already in order!
And the new Indians are also on my wish list ^&grin ^&grin ^&grin

I am a sucker for last stands, doing the Alamo, with select peices. So maybe will collect a few of these, really like that 'First Aid' figure.

Would be wrong not to PA, you are obliged!!^&grin

Its one of those fascinating periods of history that somehow you just grew up knowing about, Custer stood in the middle of his men as they fought the ' Red Indians' (as we knew them back in the day).

The pieces are beautiful and as an American this is a big part of my history but alas I will not be indulging in this series.

Worked out my budget will not stretch this far, cannot start a new series, but doing it anyway, could end up with the same outcome of the Battle of Bull Run. Cheers, Robin.

Oops Little Bighorn, seems I have ended up where I started, as a kid these were some of the first figures I had, of course plastic with no detail, but I thought they were 'it and abit'. Must be reliving my childhood, I wonder whether this is a sign of me going out the other end, time will tell. Cheers, Robin.

Oh I'm definitly collecting this Little Bighorn series. The sculpting looks great along with some good attention to historical accuracy. Was expecting this series a few years ago, so I'm very happy to finally see it come to fruitition. By what I've seen so far, it looks well worth the wait.

I might buy some of the officers like Cooke and Custer.Have money budgeted out for other projects.I love this battle though.

I am in for a nice little diorama of Custer and some of his command on Last Stand Hill with some attacking Indians. These figures look excellent!

The poses are good in this range, and the weathering is appropriate. I wish k&c will put the same amount of effort in their Waterloo Napoleonic series

Have yet to see Custer's Indian adversaries .. so I am not yet decided on this range. However I am considering getting some of these troopers, to beef up Buford's boys in my ACW display.

To fellow ACW collectors .. how far would the 7th cav uniforms and equipment be off in an 1863/5 scenario ?

The horse equipment would still be mostly Civil War issue, but a lot of the troopers uniform such as the yellow piped blouse and the black floppy brimmed campaign hat were issued in the early 1870s. The SA Colt revolvers and Springfield carbines are both 1873 models.

I too have nearly two dozen of the copy write circa 1998 K&C "THE WEST" series of the US Army 7th Cavalry & American Indians at the Battle of the Little Big Horn on 25 June 1876. I started this series in about 2001 as they were being retired. I waited for too many years after that for additions to these series and in 2009 I finally gave up and downsized my diorama area to better fit what I had on hand. A side from maybe getting the "Dead Horse", K&C set# TRW030, I will not be adding anymore of this new late 2012 series.
