Custer's last stand (1 Viewer)

I have the original series so won't be collecting this new release.
Obviously the sculpting and painting has been upgraded but the nostalgia and collectibility of my older collection will suffice.

I also prefer the original figures of The WestTW24.jpg

The old series, while somewhat charming, was more Hollywood than history.

A little surprise for those who's inclined to "recruit" some of Custer's boys into K&C's Buford's cavalry .... (from the Wiki)

" Myles Keogh and O’Keeffe served Buford with obedience and gallantry during the Stoneman Raid in April 1863 and the enormous battle on June 9 at Brandy Station, which was practically all cavalry.[3] Buford's 1st Division of cavalry fought with distinction in June 1863 as they skirmished with their much vaunted Confederate foe, led by J.E.B. Stuart in Loudoun County, Virginia – most notably at Upperville.

On June 30, Buford, with Keogh by his side, rode into the small town of Gettysburg[/I

Nothing says Happy Holidays like U.S. Cavalry engaged with the hostiles! :wink2:

Just kidding Boyer, I'm with you on this and hope the series is a big hit. If so maybe we'll see some sets portraying the Benteen/Reno side of the battle.

I really like this theme as it is about one of the biggest indians ' victories....
