Deep in my hobby cupboard I had for a very long time a very rough 3D print in 1/30 scale of the "Désiré Ingouf" building named " l'hôtel du soleil levant" in Carentan
I decided in between 2 commissions to let it see daylight again and use it for a diorama that I will make for my own collection
The building consists of 17 individual parts which had to be glued together.
Putting it together showed a lot of small details that were missing or that had to be put right.
-Shingles missing and the thickness of all shingles is out of proportion
-detail on windows missing
-one wall completely miss printed
- one wall missing
-large gabs between wall parts
-etc
I will start replacing all the shingles,
Will keep you posted about ( probably very slow) progress
