I posted photos of this display about two years back. However, I just added a K&C set# LAH 068 of a German Army MARK 1 Tank. Prior display showed the German Infantry mainly in column of twos, now they are in mainly column of three's with the small tank added to the head of the overall column.

This display depicts the "FFI" (French Forces of the Interior) ambushing a column of German reinforcements on their way to stop the further advancement of allied forces that have secured the beach heads at Normandy in Northwest France on 6/6/1944. Please see four photos below.

Really interesting idea Gary; but I don't know if those FFI will take them. Better aim well.

With the plunger about to be pushed, this is going to liven things up. Hopefully it takes out the tank which would be the main worry for the FFI. Gary you certainly have gone to a great deal of trouble to hide those bases, well done. I am a multiples man too, but confess none of my collection has so many of the one figure.^&cool, Robin.

This is the first time that I have seen so many marching camo Germans in one grouping ! Nice ^&grin

I am a big believer in "Recycling" but I never thought about doing it with dioramas ..... but I am glad you did. :)
Like others I am a fan of multiples in a scene and you did a great job here. Also the detail of hiding bases and the camera shots are wonderful.
Thanks for a good pic to start my day. --- Larry

I want to thank "Villagehorse", PanzerAce1944" & Larry Allen" for their splendid comments!!!

I actually had a K&C set# LAH 068 Mark 1 Tank on my 20 by 28 inch display of K&C's Berlin 1938 LAH sets on Parade back in early 2006. Then in December 2006 I traded in the Mark 1 tank for #15 K&C marching regular German Army troops (#12 marching riflemen, an Officer, a Flag Bearer & a Drummer). When I saw this current K&C Mark 1 tank for sale at a reasonable price on eBay just very recently I got the idea of replacing the regular German Army troops with the Mark 1 Tank and sell off the Army troops. But I later changed my mind and decided that I would not revise my Berlin 1938 Parade display and I placed the small tank on my "Germans being Ambushed by FFI" diorama. I think I made the best choice.

As for having multiples of the same figure. I have #14 of the German Army riflemen on the "Ambush" diorama representing just after D-Day invasion.

I have #36 German marching infantrymen in column of threes in my main World War One (WW1) display. I think this is the most I have of anyone figure. I have posted photos of this diorama in recent past years at the Forum here. Sometime later this year I should have an article published in Toy Soldier & Model Figure magazine on my WW1 displays along with a history of the start of WW1 and some family connection to WW1.

Best regards, Gary

Great seeing the FFI lads again, along with the grey mk1 and the marching German boys. Would be nice if K&C produced a few more 'resistance fighters' that could be used along side the Market Garden series maybe?

Thanks for sharing Gary. Cheers!

Thanks for your comments Tom. Yes, the cost of K&C sets adds up fast especially for figures purchased after 2007 or so.
