I just got (and love) a bunch of pieces from the new D-Day Sword/Juno collection.

However, as I was trying to assemble a little diorama to match the one on the Landing Craft box and in this month's Collector, I noticed that I was "missing" some figures I can't seem to find for sale.

Unfortunately, I can't find a picture online, but for those of you who either have the LCA or The Collector, the figures I can't identify are:

The soldier wearing the beret pointing a baton(?) at the LCA, guiding the troops off.

The three soldiers in the rear of the LCA.

I'm not sure if these are discontinued sets, sets which haven't been released yet, or prototypes.

Sorry that I don't have a picture...couldn't find one online.

While I have any D-Day K&C enthusiasts, I was also wondering what your feeling was on how the LCA and Atlantic Wall sets mesh with JG miniatures D-Day bases.

Thanks,

Mark

I'm going from memory but the first figure is the beach master set, DD 54, which is retired, but which you may be able to find on ebay, not much more than the original price.

Good morning....I also have and collect the K&C D Day....the sets you were asking about are I believe.... DD054 Lord Lovat and DD064 Tommie patrol.....I built a diarama using Build-A-Rama Dragons teeth and Hedgehogs....along with JG Sand dunes....Also the best site to look at all of the K&C sets is Sagers Soldiers and Miniatures...good luck

I think someone just posted the Beach Master set in the classified section not to long ago.

I just got ahold of the Collector and that is the figure from the Beach Master set on the right (with his dog). He's a spitting image of the Beach Master from the movie D Day. As pointed out by other, the other three Tommies are from DD 64. That tends to be a little more expensive on ebay. Very nice set however.

I think his name was Kenneth moore, well known actor who was also in Reach for the Sky' (Battle of Britain) and 'A night to remember' (Titanic).

Does indeed look like him.
