I received my Whiyman Tiger from Mich Toy and it arrived damaged. It appears this is how it was shipped form the factory as the shipping box was OK. Has anyone else experienced this?

If you contact Mich Toy, I am sure that they will make good on it. Most dealers usually will open and do a spot check before shipping..Michael

What kind of damage? How serious? There was an issue where a couple of forum members received Tigers with the rear mud flaps broken off, but were apparently easily repairable. MichToy should certainly make the problem right. The Tiger I received was just fine as I had the dealer check it after reading of the mud flap problem. -- Al

Sorry about your damaged Tiger. Before you contact Michigan Toy Soldier about the damage, I hope you're aware of their reputation. I filed a dispute involving MTS with my credit card and won. Other collectors have told me they also had problems with MTS. Then there's Peter Jackson and his well-publicized problems with MTS.....so be prepared for who you will be dealing with.
Good luck.

What kind of damage happened to it ? Mine had one rear mud flap come off and the other broke in half. Super glue took care of everything. The tank shifts around some in the foam box. During handling by the carriers things happen. To me some times it is easier to do a Super glue fix than box the item back up again and returning it. A decision each individual has to make.

I know that sometimes the shippers may be at fault but this damage was fairly extensive. Both exhausts had come off, rear mud flap was off, the front mud guard was broken, the commanders cupola was off, the jack was broken and some of the small detail was also broken and unrepairable due to its being dust. I think it was made in a hurry and not completely "dry" before it was placed in the box.

I have made repairs to other items I have bought including a Tiger from Honour Bound purchased on EBay. At least all the pieces were there and the seller returned the shipping costs.

My son doesn't live too far from Detroit and I have been to their store. If they give me any grief I'll be making a visit to them when I see my son again.

Thats some extensive damage for sure. Its simply a case of getting the money back from the dealer thats the least that they should do for you in the circumstances.

Mind you, on a lighter note perhaps this is CS taking realism to another level... Wittmanns tiger was mullered less than yours in real life!!!!

Hope it all gets sorted for you

Hi Fran,

It has been well over 18 months since I have dealt with MTS but I remember a lady named Jennifer there who was in charge of customer service or similar. I understand she is still there so just call her up and I hope & trust MTS will deal with you professionally as she did with me.

Best of Luck,
Marc

My Wittman Tiger also had it's right hand side rear mud flap broken off when i opened the box. I fixed it with super glue and it looks ok but the crack is still visible. I spoke to the dealer and apparently a few other collectors in Aussie had the same fault as well as other parts broken off.

Same damage, back mudguard and both muflers all detached, able to super glue back on, no problems. Cheers, Robin.
