Dead and Wounded Figures (1 Viewer)

FULLYAUTOMATIC....GREAT IDEA...For the Napoleonics a pack of two, 3 or even for would be EXCELLENT....Based on all the positive comments I can't understand why Andy wouldn't make any..........

Cheers

interesting points brought up here. another point is that there is a wounded Roman with an Arrow in his chest .........yet Mike Neville brought up that there is no BArbarian with a crossbow or bow!!!

Mike has some Wounded and dead K&C flats on display at the K&CUK unit in UK i think they are WSS. they are flat. Could Louis or Brad confirm they are WSS?

I think the last time i was there i may have seen some dead DD figures as well (not sure on this one)

Monty,

Do you have a photo or a link?

I took a look at the showroom pics in the K & C UK site and the only wounded/dead I saw are GIs. That set is indeed DD 28. As far as Germans, didn't see any.

What about mixing the living with the dead and wounded in one set? I chose an Iwo Jima set with a wounded marine being carried by another. It looked original and realistic.

Brad the set is WSS30 i think i have a pic but can never figure out how to post on here.

I have some great shots of the K&C UK showroom displays as well.

Tony,

The German version is WS 30. If you have some photos of the showroom you want to post here, you can send them to Pete or myself and we can do it although I think Pete is better at it.

Did someone ask for dead and wounded soldiers. These are 1/35 scale from an asian modeller.

Alex,

Cool pictures. The 1/35 modeler world is much more advanced than the toy soldier world in terms of variety of poses, vehicles types, etc. In my opinion.

I'm not a builder but I have purchased many models from eBay from some of the best modelers in the world and proudly displayed them. The biggest drawback is that there is almost no collectable value to them and they're extremely fragile to store and ship. Don’t drop them!

Its for this reason I've decided to exclusively invest in toy soldiers.

I frankly, don't mind if the toy soldier manufacturers copying some of those poses from the modeler's world.

I wish that all manafactures would make dead and wounded figures. I had an idea for a napoleonic after the battle diorama with a field full of dead and wounded figures and also some prisoners being lead of the battle feild with troops carring captured colors, troops helping wounded off the field, men getting looted, giving water to wounded men. The classic napoleonic wounded troop removal of two men holding the ends of a musket with a wounded soldier sitting on it, but there aren,t enough poses out there to do this and there would be to many figures to convert to make a good sized diorama but, I think it would be really cool looking.

Alex, That certainly is a grim scenebut thats really what it boils down to isnt it? People slaughtering each other for one reason or another.
Superb demonstration of a model builders talents as well.

Fishhead, you'll just have to convert, thats all there is to it for now anyway.
Get your hands on every casualty figure you can find, no matter what period.
Dremel off the details, Add the correct gear from parts box. Helmet kits offer tons of spare Napoleonic parts in plastic, heads, weapons , cartridge boxes etc.

I've seen your conversions. You can do it.
You can often just paint on the uniform detail. Single button tunics, double brested , whatever.Paint it on.
I bet you can turn a Conte Plastic 24th foot dead guy into a Frenchmen or the face down Alamo plastic defender into a Prussian. The possibilities are there.

Casualties for Napoleonics are on my list but my Equipment won't be here until next week to spin the molds I already have!!!

So far all I have are the sketches of what I want done wihich is a fairly long list.I could keep both sculptors working nonstop.

I just finished a few austrain artillary conversions. there just dosn,t seem to be enough time to convert a fraction of the ideas that i have and painting takes so long I don,t know how you have the time or patience to paint the amounts of figures you have. I hope in the future little by little to be able to make a fubar sized diorama.:p GREAT STUFF keep it coming.

The conversions were made from cts alamo mexicans with 2 part putty for the bicorn hats and a little plastic carving on the legs to turn the pants into boots. the other 2 figures were a reamsa napoleonic with a 2part putty hat and the last was the most complex its got parts from various figures. The body and legs are a marx cavalry man and the great coat is all 2part putty. the arms are from a imex cival war figure and the head is from a cival war figure out of my body parts bin with 2part putty hat.

The cannon color should have been a little more on the yellow side. Its just an armies in plastic cannon. I almost coverted the cannon also to make it like the frontline one with the seat for the crew to sit on when in limber.
