Use of the word "Dynasty" is more than a bit of a stretch within the usual meaning of the word......Great article by the way.....

Where is the article from Robin. I would like to read it.
Brad
How do you construe the usual meaning of the word dynasty?
Here you go....

Thanks. I think K&C fit this definition that is found within your link:
a family, team, etc., that is very powerful or successful for a long period of time
Be my guest.
The Walton family I would categorize within that definition in the short term. Maybe a few others.
The House of Rothschild for example. From the 1760's and during the 19th century, when it was at its height,
the Rothschild family is believed to have possessed by far the largest private fortune in the world as well as by
far the largest fortune in modern world history
The Krupp family, a prominent 400-year-old German dynasty.
A couple just for starters..........very powerful.....successful for a long period of time.
They changed World History and influenced millions. All the time I was at Sanford I don't recall any
Professor referencing a toy manufacturer in that context.

I believe the article is referencing toy soldiers, thus in the context of that realm K&C would be considered a dynasty.
At Stanford the only time I heard toys mentioned in any way, shape or form was a discussion about Charles Lazaurus.
Lets get onto the 'REAL BUSINESS' and make some guesses about what goodies will be on offer on Monday when DISPATCHES December 2013 arrive !!!
With all the eyes being on the article on Edition 54 of Toy Soldier Collector, and the article about King and Country's 30th Anniversary, did anyone else see this picture on page 63 ???

He looks to me like a mounted German Officer wearing picklehaube without the cloth covering, in a light grey uniform with red collar and cuffs.
The sticker underneath appears to be hand written, with FW128 ??? so it may not be in production just yet, but who knows when this image was taken?
Maybe this only a lead into the centenary on The Great War next year, so I bet we will be seeing him and others in 2014.
The only certain is the KnC Sherman, and enough discussion has be posted on that vehicle already.
So any other bid for forthcoming figures / vehicles / aircraft next week ???
John
Think we are overdue for a new release of LOJ, so after the recent MG & ALH, this all the budget can handle. Hoping no Grey German stuff, otherwise none of the family will be getting any Christmas gifts except me.^&grin, Robin.
Maybe your family should PM Andy Robin!!!{sm4} Totally agree though, as much as I would like to see more grey Jerries (or any WW2 Jerries or Allies for that matter), I would be happy if there was little or no WW2 releases next month and more of the other series including the Great War (WW1) to keep certain blokes in Brissy and other parts of Oz and the world happy!{sm3}
