Dear All

A shorter newsletter for the end of 2014 as there will be no releases this month, however there will be a bumper release in January.

Our office will be closing on 20th December for staff holidays and this coupled with a delay in Decembers production meant it would have been impossible to get everybody’s order out in time for Christmas.

It was therefore decided to delay Decembers releases until 6th January when the company doors reopen.

Most of Novembers releases are now out in transit to dealers and customers, if not received yet they will be with you very shortly.

On December 7th we will be attending the London show with Maison Militaire as our sponsor. On display will be the new FFL HMG SET and the new Scramble for Africa (SFA) figures. I am also pleased to announce that we will have a total of 4 wooden aircraft on show as well as the start of a new FFL range!

As a teaser for what will be on display I have attached pictures of the new Mexican Adventure FFL (MAD FFL) Series which will be launched on December 7th in London.

Its 150 years since the FFL made their gallant last stand at Camerone in Mexico with 65 legionnaires fighting approximately 3000 Mexican troops. All but 2 of the legionnaires were killed in what is now regarded as the legions finest hour. We plan to expand this series to fully cover the French adventure in Mexico during the course of 2014 and for many years afterwards. Only 100 of each figure has been made initially, register your interest now, if more are required then we still have time to make prior to the first shipment leaving in January. After that it will be too late and the ship will have sailed as they say!

Well after a nail biting finish we managed to finally get photos thru of our newest 1/30 scale Warbird (WOW 003) the Dornier 335. One of the fastest propeller driven fighters ever made, this fantastic looking aircraft was one of Hitler’s wonder weapons that was supposed to help turn the tide in the Germans favour.

Forbidden to engage in combat with the Allies these aircraft were chased at the wars end by Allied fighters, but were too fast to be shot down! The Dornier was a huge aircraft for a WW2 fighter plane, its dimensions nearly rivalled that of the twin engine ME BF 110! I think you can appreciate its impressive size when compared to our 1/30 scale figures placed next to it. For all of you attending London then yes this aircraft will be on display there!

We have made 12 of this version in wood, the real life aircraft is now on display in a Dulles in the USA. This is our first WW2 wooden aircraft with a fully detailed interior and Perspex canopy. Our sets comes with the pilot and FJ figures from LUFT009A released earlier in the year. Priced is yet to be confirmed but we expect these to retail for under $700. When you consider each aircraft is handmade and takes 6 months to make, with only 12 available then they represent very good value for money.

Please note the Swastika has now been added to the rear tail fin and this model will be a very accurate interpretation of the real thing. Please note that due to the limited nature of this model it will only be available thru Thomas Gunn direct.

A short note on the Natter V005 for your information.

The Natter will come in a box with Lothar Sieber and Erich Bachem and is marked V Series 005. The 2 mechanics come in 2 separate smaller boxes marked LUFT 006/007A and will then make up your 4 figure Natter set. The reason for this is that we also made a B version of the mechanics for the Desert war and these will be available next year. Dealers please note you need a total of 3 boxes to complete your V005 order before shipping.

Thank you for your support this year and I look forward to speaking with you all in January 2014.

If you are receiving this email and do not wish to tehn please reply back to me with ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’ in the heading.

Kind regards

Very nice Do 355 just a shame there only make twelve

That 335 and the FFL are gorgeous. The red pants on the figures just really stand out. The 335 looks to be an outstanding piece of work. I'm sure there are going to be 12 very happy collectors. -- Al

Beautiful looking DO335. Since I could not afford it anyway, I'm going to build it in 1:48 scale using Tamiya kit.

Beautiful plane! The DO335 has always been of my favorite WWII planes. Too bad only 12 will be made, and certainly not at my favorite MSRP....^&grin

For a wood plane, it's not a terrible price, not cheap, but not terrible.

Dang, a toy soldier company finally makes a Do-335 and it costs $600+. I know TGM said they were less than satisfied with the experience making the FW-190, but did they have to go so upscale as to make the Warbirds unattainable by most? Couldn't they have done like Figarti and made a higher production but very detailed model in the $275-300 range?

I'm just disappointed I guess. Looks amazing though.

This is the version I'm fond of . . .Do-335[1].jpg

The Do-335, a beautiful plane but not for my wallet. Wonder if the 3 other planes that will be shown in London will be as expensive as this one ?????
guy:(

I definitely plan to collect your MAD series...but I hope you will continue to expand your original FFL series and especially that more (many More) Tauregs are forthcoming...these guys need someone to fight...

I hope you expand the MAD series to include Benito Juarez and his brave Mexicans who fought against Napoleon III's attempts at empire. Perhaps you can include the execution of Maximilian.

Congrats Mike, that is what I call an ARMY. Very nice collection of FFL. I can see they need some opposition
guy:)

We have sold 7 of the Dorniers in less than 24 hours without having confirmed the final price, once you guys see one you will definitely think it is worth the money I promise you! As you know we always strive to strike a fair balance on the retail price and in all honesty these are probably under-priced.
The 2 other examples that will be at London will be of WW1 vintage and will be less expensive, purely because they are smaller and do not have such a detailed interior.
The Dornier is a very large aircraft for a single seat fighter plane and it would have been impossible to make a wooden example for around the $300 mark. In polystone/resin the wingspan would have been too much of a challenge and we wanted to avoid the breakage issue we had with the FW190.
Wood was considered the best alternative in this instance, for those of you who buy one I am very confident you will agree with us that this is a superb product.

Is there any possibility you could post more photos of the Dornier.

I do agree that you could not do this plane for $300.

More on the way Brad, we are just waiting for the photographer to sort his life out and email them to us!
Obviously it will be on display at London so we should also see a lot more photos appearing on the forum then as well.

Regards Vicki
