Cheers Mike ! :salute::
The new Roman auxiliary figure is an excellent action pose. If I had the room I'd have gotten multiples of this figure !

Thanks Paddy :salute::

The backdrop photo I found on the Internet, but the rough carving of these modern wooden idols does convey to my mind the idea of a dark, brooding and frightening local cult figures for these JJD Germans.
I think there is a very small amount written (by the Romans) concerning the Gods worshipped by those, the Romans considered barbarians and of course in need of civilising by them and as far as I know, no wooden remains exist, but if any forum member knows of any and can provide a link, that would be great.
I know pre-Roman carvings of local deities exist in stone, at least outside of Germany, but don't know of wooden ones in Germany or Europe for that matter

Brilliant photos of awesome figures. Love all these figures

Yes they're great, just wish John would expand the range on these and produce as many as he has for other ranges, but it's good that he is doing them at all considering all the other themes that grab his interest and imagination and sparks so many other also interesting lines.

Oh only if I had bottomless pockets and a warehouse sized room to fill ! :wink2:^&grin
