Hi Guys,

It’s always fun to bring together figures and fighting vehicles from K&C’s long heritage of Desert-themed series with a new item that will be released, I hope, next month.

So, ‘Tutankhamun’s Monument’ plays a prominent part in this little SAS/Long Range Desert Group scene where a returning patrol meets up with an outgoing one and exchanges info on German and Italian unit movements in their target area.

Looking forward to the upcoming TV series “SAS ROGUE HEROES” about just such groups.

All the best,
Andy

What a treasure! I love the new monument, Andy. Most impressive. Equally nice is this collection/scene with classic (and perhaps new?) British 8th. I was just looking at my own collection with DAK the other day that got me initially collecting K&C. Always loved K&C's N. Africa pieces.

This is exciting news in the morning as I sip my coffee.

In addition, did not know about the new SAS Rogue Heroes series. Thanks for mentioning. Looks like a great series more realistic and reminiscent Rat Patrol.

Great stuff all around! Thanks much for making my day. :salute::

EDIT: time to dust off some of my LRDG vehicles:

Looks like a new desert well in the dio. Will this a future release Andy ?

Alas no, Steve … that particular ‘Desert Well’ is an old Dept.56 ‘Little Town of Bethlehem’ Item.
Best wishes,
Andy.

Excellent, could not see any new figures or vehicles! Smiled seeing the guy at the rear of dio with the shovel, we can guess where he is heading or returning from.............

Great looking set up Andy. Those sets go together so nicely.

Certainly gives me qualms on why I should have collected these. Dare not watch any tv series which could break down my will power to resist.{sm4} , Robin.

Is that a new British officer standing next to Paddy Mayne?

I do hope we see some new WW2 desert figures & vehicles and not just monuments…

Would also be in support of some more desert 'specials' (figures) to accompany K&Cs excellent LRDG & SAS vehicles, even if its only a couple of figures.

I'm thinking a 2 pounder on the back of a LRDG Chev would look great.

I'd imagine it would be pretty pricey to produce though, especially with at least 2x crew?
