Good first episode, although the premise is horrific. -- Al

Secretary of Housing (the Designated Survivor played by Kiefer Sutherland) becomes President. His wife is the ex wife from Californication. FBI lady is the girl who played Nikita so with her and Jack Bauer in charge the bad guys are in deep doo doo.

Good so far. Wonder who the bad guys are going to be ?

On Netflix.

2 episodes in and I'm still liking it. Looks like a regular for my viewing line-up. -- Al

Me too. Looks like he is going to be a good President like Martin Sheen was in West Wing. Just without a Cabinet or Supreme Court Justices !

Have not looked him up but the military man seems to be an English actor.

loving this show...

Episode 3 was great...

I never watched 24 or West Wing...

but a lot of my friends did and raved about both shows...

I'm getting the feeling this might run several seasons...

Sutherland...as the calm honest voice of reason...is killing his role...good casting...

Still enjoying it and I guess I am all in. Sutherland is great in this part and I'm sure the political 'complications' will continue to grow. West Wing was a terrific show and was one of my favorites. The writing was brilliant. -- Al

Paul...I never watched 24...was that something he did on a regular basis?

I seem to remember him threatening to do it a few times among other things. Do yourself a favor when you have the time and binge watch 24. Some seasons were better than others, but it was a great show.

Paul...

I have so many things set to record on my DVR that I have a hard time watching them all...

especially with the NFL season now in full gear...

but I will record Season 1 of 24 and give it a watch...

I know a lot of my friends loved it...

binge watching is tough...incredibly time consuming...

especially with it having 8 series...

my friends say...if I like Blacklist...I will like 24...

and I love Blacklist...

My wife is also hooked on this one.

Plenty of drama and double crossing going on plus the investigation into the bombing and the latest survivor mystery.

Another captivating episode tonight. The measure of this show, for me, is that I am sorry when it ends and I want more. Really enjoying it. -- Al

No clunkers so far. The show is well done and very well written and is keeping my interest. Can't ask for more than that. -- Al

Al agreed...very well done for a major's network drama...seems to have an almost premium channel (HBO, Showtime) air to it...Sutherland really plays to the office...the awe and reverence it deserves...love this show...I would vote for him over Hilary and Donald...^&grin
