A few new items arrived at the house today :D Besides more MK Crusader sets, I also got a Department 56 "Town Well & Palm Trees" #59793 - I must say I am very very impressed on how well this D56 set goes with the K&C Crusaders :D I have seen the same well and palm trees used in some of the K&C desert dioramas on their web site. For you AK/8th Army collectors I think these would work just as well in your scenes ;)

This set went with D56 Bethlehem Village series and has long been retired. If you can find them they sell for $55 and up. I was lucky and got this one in mint unused condition :) Set includes 1 well, 1 single date palm, 1 double clump palm, and 1 triple clump palm. The well, palm bases, and palm trunks are made of resin. The palm folliage is made of a stiff "nylon" like fabric that can be bent to shape. Depending on the palm and how I have shaped the fronds, they stand approx 7" to 9" tall.

Anyway here are a few pics to show you what they look like and their scale next to my K&C figures. One of the pics shows the K&C well with the Dept 56 well both are very close to scale in my opinion.

Those are really sharp!

Nothing beats a nice set of photos!

Very sharp! I've used some Dept56 stuff for AK as well. Very nice set-up you have there.

They are some of the best palms I have ever seen. Dept 56 and K&C... A great combination.

Have to agree on the plam tree. Dept. 56 makes the best.

It's a dessert thing, something with a little plastic cocktail monkey:)
