The DH9 Ninak was a late Allied war bomber that saw service with the British and American forces. The aircraft boasted a wingspan of nearly 46 ft and was over 30 ft long, quite a large aircraft for its time. The DH9 was armed with a forward firing Vickers machine gun and could be armed with 1 or 2 Lewis machine guns fitted to a scarf ring at the rear, 300kg of bombs could also be carried.

Our 1/30 scale wooden aircraft come in 2 options: A USMC version (WOW 006) from September 1918 and a late war RAF version (WOW 007). Both come with a full interior and a separate figure that will only enhance your display, as this is the only 1/30 scale version of this aircraft on the market it is a 'must buy' for any serious Allied WW1 aircraft collector.

We have limited production to 10 of each version and have priced them at $450, which hopefully means they will not be around for long! Each aircraft takes around 60 hours to make and has over 30 layers of paint applied by hand, first class workmanship from a bygone era one might say.

Only available direct from Thomas Gunn, to register your interest please send me an email to welcome@tomgunn.co.uk and we will reserve your model for you. These items are now in stock and are ready for dispatch!

Nice mate and Jack/Waynepoo, any takers???

Tom

Very nice plane. I love it. I wish I could afford it.

That is a beautifully made and detailed aircraft. While the price is a bit beyond my reach, I think this is an outstanding price for this big, beautiful bird. I have been really impressed by the complex rigging. I would bet that they don't last long. TGM has done themselves proud with this release as they keep going where no one else has, with the larger 2-seat aircraft. -- Al

For a wooden plane, a very good price but I, too, will have to pass, not that this will affect the sales ^&grin

I keep coming back to look at the USMC version. It sure is a gorgeous model.^&cool -- Al

That's the best looking wood model that I've ever seen. Oh, and I'm not looking at it and thinking to myself, very nicely done for a wood model. It's very well, proportioned, detailed and finished. The definition of the parts is also very good, an area where wood models FREQUENTLY fall down. If Gunn can do something like this, this well, then I suspect that they can also do a quality DH.2, Brisfit or F.E.2b. My preference would be for the first, BTW.

I just received my USMC version from the postman. This is an absolutely beautiful plane!

Congratulations, Zach. It is an absolutely gorgeous aircraft. Beautiful colors. -- Al

This really is a spectacular job by TGM. Well done to TGM and to those that have gotten one.:salute:: -- Al

Very nice Zach, you continue to collect only the best, a wise philosophy. :salute::

The normal comment that you'll hear about a nicely-done wood model goes something like, "wow, that's really nice for a wood model!" In this case, I don't see the need for the qualifier. Given it's surface and cockpit detail, the definition of parts like the landing gear, the rigging and the "hardware" on board, this is just a flat-out beautiful model, PERIOD. Park a K-9 beside it, and it's a definite winner.:D

if it makes any sense, it just feels good when you touch it!
