Does anyone know where I could buy a diecast or other material C-17 transport airplane model. My friend served on one and wants to buy a model. Thanks.

I used to collect 1/72 scale diecast aircraft. The ebay listing is 1/200 scale which is a small scale but being a very large aircraft the model may be a suitable size for your friend. I'm not familiar with that Chinese brand listed on ebay but I'm aware that Gemini 200 makes several variations of the C17. You may even find an aircraft in US markings in the actual squadron your friend served in that's available from a US dealer. Prices may well be higher than that ebay listing, just have to do some online searches to get best price etc.

Thanks for all your help. My friend is definitely buying one. I was hoping for 1/72 scale, so he could add ground crew and really get him hooked on TS collecting.

I guess a C-17 as diecast model don't exist. Max. scale is 1/200. And made of plastic.
Take a look at hogan wing, they produce some different version "Spirit of ..."
