Time to finish up the Romans. It has really been fun getting them off the shelf and into action. These last pictures feature some of my favorite Conte Roman figures that didn't really go with the story line I had in my head as I took the previous pictures.

Thanks Spit for the precision, and thank to you Joe for the photos. I have big plans for Ancient warriors Dioramas after Chicago

Cheers guys.

rod.

Sure glad to see the results of your regaining you play room Sir Playset Addict and what a pleasure to see the end results of your playtime featuring a group of outstanding photos..........Joe

One of the decisions I have before me as I make the drapes I want to take to Chicago is how much 'sculpting' to do to the drapes. Here are some shots of the heavily sculpted part of the drape I made last week. I really like the variation...but if I glue down the sand on the bare spots, the drape becomes unwashable. How big a deal would that be to you guys? Would you prefer at least sections of a drape to be sculpted like this?
Any input will be appreciated.

Joe

Here is a wide shot with the sculpted part of the drape in the foreground with the Spartans shown for size reference.

That's amazing mate!

You could have some German Artillery at the top of tht ridge, and then some British or American vehicles in a convoy going past, like maybe...30 Corps!;):D

WOW!:) Joe, this is great!

Today I made a couple of smaller drapes...3 ft by 2 and 1/2 ft. I think this size will work well for those who like to take pictures of smaller dioramas. You can do quite a bit in this amount of space.

I was supposed to be getting ready to go to Chicago today, but I couldn't resist working on a few projects. I've long wanted to make a stand of trees to use in my set ups. Today I finally got around to working on it.

I picked up some great painted Plastic Underground figures from Ed Borris at the Chicago show. I also got hold of a set of painted TSSD Custer and Crazy Horse figures from Nick.

I think I can price the drapes at $6.25 a square foot. I have several 2 1/2 ft by 3 ft that would go for $45.00.

"Some nice shots Joe, just where did you get those figures?"

Like I said in post 34...I got these great painted Plastic Underground figures from Ed Borris at OTSN. They go great with the painted Custer and Crazy horse figures I got from Nick of TSSD.

I wish I had pulled the trigger earlier when that guy in the buckskins was still there.

Yeah, you just missed him by a maybe 1/2 hour and that was the only one he bought, right after you Craig R came in and cleared out the powder blue ones and the last cannister of Gibbs.

I'll try and get you a buckskin dude.
