Heres a little idea for you guys like me on a low budget. With all the x-mas stuff all over take a look in the trim a tree section i found these neat little piece made for a x-mas village today in walmart and then stoped in kmart and found more. I really like the stone wall sections i just need to flog the base to get rid of the snow. They fit together real nice and are made to fit together to add as many as you want together. I found the stone wall at wal mart and the rest at kmart. I also really like the steel and stone fence piece to,it also lights up but i think i,m going to cut off the little battery pack.

Hi again,

These actually dont look too bad and dont forget they fought a few campaigns in the winter. So dont knock all of the snow off. You may want to try and dry brush them a little to weather the rocks some more and add some rust to the iron railings that way they dont look so new.

Take care

Dave

I really like the stone walls and for $2.86 how can you go wrong. After x-mas all that stuff will be real cheap if theres any left. I got all that stuff at 25% off already after x-mas it,ll be about 75% off. That little well is pretty cool to.

Thanks for the heads up on the inexpensive diorama material.
I went to the Walmart in Greenville NC and they were cleaned out.
At Kmart I purchased two street, lamps which were pretty good.

Attached are two photographs of both lamps with one of my Del Prado figures. The result is pretty good.

Cheers,
Benjamin

another thought for the cost conscious...and I picked this up from a friend in Charleston.. go to any of the local places like walmart, target, Michaels art supplies etc, and search for the discounted picture frames. these make just excellent and good looking dioramas. take the glass out, and cut a 1/8 or 1/4 inch paper board and glue it firmly into place. follow that with your regular diorama techniques. Often times the frames are non finished giving you the opportunity to set the piece off as you like.
