NA245 “FLI Loading from Pouch”

NA246 “FLI Standing Ready”

NA248 “FLI Kneeling Firing”

B. “DESTINATION TOBRUK!”

“The Desert War” fought between 1940 and 1943 in the harsh, unyielding environment of North Africa is one of K&C’s most collected ranges… both British and Empire and, of course, Rommel’s Afrika Korps.

These latest add-ons are sure to please quite a few of the “Desert-Diehards”…

EA058 “The M7 Priest”

Ninety of these 105mm-armed assault guns were dispatch to North Africa early in 1942… many of these were modified by the British with side skirts… some were not… this is one of the latter. Our vehicle includes a commander figure.

EA061 “M7 Priest Crew”

Two add-on gunners that can operate the American 105.

EA062 “Morris CS8 British 15cwt. Truck”

A familiar sight to all British and Empire forces this little truck is in 6th Australian Infantry Division markings and comes with an Aussie driver.

Special Note: This little 15cwt truck is a “Series 250” release.

EA063 “Foreign Legion Marching w/Rifle”

Following the success of our earlier released Free French Foreign Legion “parade” figures we decided to add some more. And here is the first one…

EA064 “FL Marching w/ Light Machine Gun”

A Legionnaire carries the formidable (and heavy) 7.5mm FM24/29 Machine Gun. From De Gaulle’s Free French Foreign Legion troops we move across the desert sands to… The “Diggers”

EA065 “FL Marching NCO w/ Tommy Gun”

In the Legion it was the Non-Commissioned Officers who carried the sub-machine guns. Our NCO carries the 1928 Thompson.

EA067 “Aussie Officer w/Binos”

Tommy-gun in one hand and Binos in the other this typical Aussie prepares for battle.

EA068 “Aussie Sergeant w/ Tommy-Gun”

This NCO is leading a fighting patrol out into “No Man’s Land”.

EA069 “Aussie Bren Gunner”

The Bren Light Machine Gun was one of the mainstays of the British and Empire forces. Our Aussie has it slung over his shoulder.

EA070 “Aussie Advancing w/ Rifle”

With Slouch-hat on head and bayonet fixed this particular Aussie is ready for a fight.

EA071 “Aussie on Guard”

EA072 “Bringing up Supplies”

A “Digger” and his pack mule bring up extra ammo to the front line. A great little set!

EA073 “Aussie w/Rifle at the Trial”

Another member of the fighting patrol.

EA074 “Dead Afrika Korps”

AVAILABLE: Early January

C. “THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY”

A unique version of the Me.109… this crash- landed 109 belongs to Franz Von Werra, the only German pilot to successfully escape from Allied captivity and finally make it back to Germany in early 1941. Von Werra made a successful “wheels-up” landing up in Kent, England during the Battle of Britain in 1940. After several failed escape attempts he was transported to Canada where he did finally escape into the U.S. before heading to Mexico. Through Brazil across the Atlantic to Spain and eventually Germany. His exploits were filmed as “The One That Got Away” starring Hardy Kruger.

LW045 “Franz von Werra’s Me 109”

Just 250 of this model are being made.

FOB071 “Standing Bobby”

Another of the member of the “Constabulary” going about his duty.

FOB076 “Tommy on Guard”

This “Tom” (Standard British infantryman) on guard duty… outside a barracks or next to a downed Messerschmitt.

FOB078 “Prisoner & Esort”

A wounded German pilot being assisted by another British soldier.

AVAILABLE: Mid-January

D. “Ancient Egypt”

A brand-new Sphinx… when we retired the last version we did not realize how useful or requested this item would be. So, we’ve come up with an all-new version.

AE046 “Sphinx”

When I click the link, this is what I get.............
"This item has been retired and sold out, Sorry"

Whats up with that, or did I miss something here......................

Good releases......Aussies and Napoleonics are among my favorites.
I just hope the French Napoleonics are not oversized like the last batch.

I really do like the new Naps French infantry ^&cool but at $39.00 a piece that will probably mean £39.00 in England :( so they are out of my league.
I don't know why I keep torturing myself by looking at them.
That's interesting what you say about the previous release being oversized. I hadn't heard that before and haven't seen them in the flesh. That sort of makes me feel better that I can't afford them anyway{sm2}:):D.

Very nice dispatch, those Aussie's are tempting. I must say the 8th army version of the M7 priest
and Figures look Awsome. And you Nap collectors must be happy, even the dead German Ak fig is cool.
well done Andy :salute:: By the way Love the paint scheme on the downed ME 109

Must be some sort of glitch as I don't see it even listed on the website.

Sorry to dissapoint you Paul, but the K&C Website is showing $42 per figure.

So whats that in UK???

John

A solid dispatch to end another terrific year in K&C land. I myself must stay disciplined and not venture into the desert campaign of WWII however the new French and Aussie pieces look great, especially that little donkey set. :smile2: The FOB, NA and LW releases look nice. The FOB pieces will likely be on my buy list. Luckily no retirement hits with the exception of the dead HJ figure. All in all a quiet end of the year for my collecting interests however the pieces look nice and I look forward to 2012 releases for the MG, RAF, D-Day, NA, MK and WS lines. ^&cool

It would have been nice for the ME109 to have the option for damaged and flight mode display. An extra propeller could have been icluded to swap it out and a stand to have it in flight mode.

Such a nice model that I would have loved to add to my collection.

Looks like just the Priest for me out of this dispatch.

That little donkey set should be replicated over all K&C ranges. All that is needed is a different handler for each range. :)

OD

Yes, exactly my thoughts.... he'd look good being led by one of Napoleon's Grande Armee or Wellington's troops :)

John

I will take both ... ;) :p {sm4} .. and if K&C will give us a second handler and perhaps a slightly different load ... I will get multiples for a supply train to go with the marching troops.

I thought that DONKEY was Wellington - Oops ... did I say that aloud ? {eek3}

Hi John,
I was out at £39.00 so if they are £42.00 (it's usually like for like £ for $ over here) it's not getting any better{sm2}:(

What kills me is you see the same old K&C Naps items listed on eBay UK for example and they are listed with "buy it now" at the list price but they are never bought. Surely K&C and their dealers would sell a lot more and make a lot more money if they reduced their prices even slightly. Instead they increase with nearly every release.
I don't want to rub anyone up the wrong way. I really like K&C Naps and have loads on display around my home but I have been priced out of collecting something I really enjoy and it sort of hurts a bit:(:redface2:
I thought NA216 seizing the colour was one of the best K&C Naps releases ever I would love to own it but I couldn't justify paying £186 for it.
We all have our limits and unfortunately I've reached mine.

Cheers
Paul:)

One note regarding the British 8th Army truck, well it more applies to the German edition, is that last week I came across a memo instructing the Germans to make use of captured British trucks over Germans ones for patrolling, as they were less likely to get stuck in sand
