Did you have good trip home Richard? Good to see you and the guys on Saturday.

I do like the blue camo on the Valentine, I prefer it to the plain yellow myself.

Excellent edition of Dispatches with the stand outs for me being the 8th Army figures and the Valentine tank, very nice releases indeed. The new Crimean figures look splendid too and I know my mate Jeff will be a happy bunny this morning!
Cheers Andy and good to see you Saturday{bravo}}

Rob

Rob :salute:: A very happy bunny indeed! I have been waiting for these for what seems a very long time and with the Officers etc due in the 2nd quarter of next year the Crimean War looks good to continue. I had a chat with Andy on Saturday about what we can expect in the future for this conflict and there are plenty of ideas to keep the door open on this rather interesting period of history.

Oh well, no Great War items this time around. Thankfully JJD & TG have made sure I won't be empty handed in December!

How about this for an idea; the WW2 collectors can have 2013 and we Great War collectors get 2014-18? Deal?!?!

thanks for a great treefrog day

The EA sets are great but you wet our whistle with them hours ago. Three Valentines will be a nice little troop but will have to change two of the names from Hector. I was thinking the other two could be changed to "Howard" and maybe "Harry".^&grin^&grin Cheers Howard

Howard, does this mean more Aussies that need brown boots????

An do I have to practice my 'hand lettering' for a name change?

:)

Same here. I patiently await WW1 1914 French cavalry and the famous '75' gun. Maybe even a few figures from the Belgian Army of 1914 with those archaic shakos. Wouldn't mind some regular British Army figures for Mons or artillery for Nery, either.:wink2: -- Al

can't tell you how happy I am to have six new Saracens...personal thanks to K&C for reading the forum threads and producing what their fans are asking for...the Saracens are sorely needed...my Arabic defenders are still pretty well outnumbered and I hope more are coming in the future...

I heard a rumor about an Africa Korps 251/C, but have not seen anything on it. Is this just scuttlebutt or is there something in pipeline? Any sneak peaks?

Ignore previous post! Just saw the pictures of the pictures in Rob's post in the Following Some Requests thread...

If K&C were to produce Belgian WWI troops I would certainly start to collect them .That is a fact !!!!!!!! An uncle of mine and my two grandfathers fought in the great war at the river "Yser"
some troops like these I would like to see

It's dispatches like this month's that make me happy about the strategy K&C's employes regarding its releases. Because they have so many lines I always have a breather at some point to catch up with my personal collection interests/strategy........this dispatch is one of those occasions. I think the releases are nice but LAH, Saracens, Crimea and WWII desert are areas I've chosen not to focus on ( not because I don't like them but because you can't have everything! {eek3} :( ). One note, it seems to me that the new desert Dingoes and from what I can see the upcoming 251, the amount of paint flaking seems quit excessive and distracts from the appearance of the overall pieces.......just an observation based on my personal taste.

The standout for me is the Valentine, that is one nice piece and I'm sorely tempted to pick it up as a "one off". I really like the camo pattern on it instead of the rather plain drab sand colour. The Crimean Brits are really cool but everytime I look at them they remind me of a fancy hotels bellhop...its those hats! :D The retirements are a rather short list and I need nothing urgent from it. I'll be able to keep the "powder dry" to make future purchases in 2013. As always I eagerly await the future dispatches.

A wise policy CFM , there are so many good things coming in 2013 that its going to take a lot of budget planning .Its going to be packed with some superb releases from start to end and I've started putting money away this week, I've a feeling that for some collectors its going to be one of the best collecting years yet.:wink2:

Rob, Another fine job on Dispatches.....as usual :wink2: My favorites are the AK Halftrack and the 8th Army Figures.....especially the officer with wembly pistol and the chap with the Thompson SMG !

Thanks PA, it all looks very good doesn't it. I think I'll pick off those 8th Army guys one or two at a time as I'm saving like crazy, the 251 seems to be very popular too doesn't it^&cool

Guy, those are the ones and I think that they would make an excellent addition to the early war theme that KC have established. I have a weakness for the Belgian Army use of dogs for hauling carts with MG's and such, (like the set Beau Geste have done). That would make a terrific set in matte. Woof, woof! :smile2: -- Al

I have some pics of dogs hauling carts with MG's ( also used at the beginning of the second WW). If ever you need some documentation ,please feel free to ask
guy:)

Thank you, Guy. I sure will. -- Al

Looks like the long wait for the release of a Little Bighorn series was well worth it. Photos from the London show depicting Custer & Co. look outstanding.
