I'd say yes.
Two outer TGM, middle K&C

I finally got to see mine in the flesh. This is an excellent little model. At the price point it is great and the perfect model to serve as a custom base. Exactly what I was hoping it would be.

Excellent tri-camo colors that look realistic, good enough detail, very realistic proportions and cannon barrel size for FL and War Park figures.

How does it compare to the War Park Panzer IV

Both are excellent models and I'd recommend either one. They're both the same size and have essentially the same level of detail. I like the proportions of the TGM model slightly better.

Ultimately, which one you pick just depends on what you want to do with it.

Any differences between the models are due to the different price points (both are the exact same quality). The TGM model is $100 cheaper, more fairly $130 cheaper since the War Park model has no figure.

- Detail is about the same
- Both have good tri-camo base colors, I like the TGM colors better
- War Park has opening/closing hatches, TGM's are fixed
- War Park has better weathering, slightly better detail painting
- War Park running gear works and tacks move; some like this but I think it's a useless feature for a static shelf model
- TGM offers the model with no decals, which is AWESOME for those of us who like to mod and tinker with these models, a big + for me
- For me, the TGM model is a perfect base model for customization. Spot on tri-camo colors that I can add whatever markings I choose too and weather as I see fit

Again, they're essentially the same model, IMO. If you have rudimentary model weathering skills and/or want to have a specific unit, get the TGM model hands down. If you like the features of the War Park model that the TGM model doesn't have, and think they are worth an extra $130, get the War Park model.

There's no wrong choice here. Both are excellent.

Personally, I really like this TGM Panzer IV, and hope they do a version with zimmerit and the later schürzen rails with the triangular spikes.

If they made that model with no decals as an option, I'd probably buy 4 of them.

Thanks for the comparison Hunter. I am really pleased that TGM is making Panzers again. The TGM Hetzer is one of my favorite 1/30 pieces. The new Panzer IV adheres to this standard of excellence at a fair price point and includes a figure; what's not to like.

I agree that the Panzer IV sans markings is a great option.

Excellent review. I received mine along with two others (I decided to buy the trio) on Monday and I think it's an outstanding tank for the price, detail and quality. TGM has done an excellent job on this and I reckon they have beaten the other manufacturers on price, detail and quality combined. I have taken pic's of my TGM, WP and K&C Panzer IV's together to show the size comparison, detail, painting and weathering ect. I agree with Hunter the WP tank is slightly better in the painting and weather to the TGM version but I still like the camo scheme and colours on the TGM tank. It's a shame they have sold out as I reckon a larger run would have sold well.

Thanks for the comparison pics Tom. Do the front hatches (driver) open on the TGM model?

Great comparison photos Tom! the K&C is larger than 1/30. The TGM sprockets and idlers are far superior to the K&C Panzer IV H. I really prefer the TGM lack of weathering as I like doing my own or having a pristine model for display. TGM affords this option and the version without insignia is great for customization for specific battles.

TGM should offer an unpainted and a Winter version.

Interesting to note that the War Park Panzer IV model is significantly Larger than the TGM and K & C versions.

I just received my TGM Panzer IV H from Treefrog Treasures. I am impressed with the level of detail and the quality.
The camouflage colors are correct; yet understated. TGM has equaled or exceeded the excellent Figarti Panzer IV IMO.
