This Stug is my favorite KC vehicle. It is just so evocative of the time and place. -- lancer

what do you think the average stug crewman would think of the fact that 60 some years later there are people who are debating what stug battery was where and when. i think they would be pretty amazed. as for a vehicle that i put off buying and said wow what a nice vehicle that would be the duck amphibious vehicle.

Strange to think that even at the time of Barbarossa, this was still the best thing going for the Germans in terms of armour. iirc, one of the big shots (Tiger aces) got his start in one of these

I got one of the very last ones available. I couldn't make up my mind. I was concerned about how big it was but it was such an important vehicle. Not only for Normandy landings but also for river crossings. Soon to appear in a supply column diorama.

What for? I have a Jimmy :p:D:D

Actually I hope they do make another truck and especially a separate set of seated figures. I never got the 3+1 seated figures that go with the Jimmy. I thought they were too expensive and old style K&C - facial sculpting not too good.

I agree they would be pretty amazed about the level of scrutiny that modern historians/enthusiasts pay to the German army in WW2 in particular (compared to other nationalities and other historical eras). They would also be surprised and dejected to find out that the majority of the modern world now views them (the German army) as evil war criminals.

As for the StuG markings, yeah they're wrong for France. I picked up on this error about two years back: http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5069

Another little issue I noted back then is that I don't think the other crew member should have earphones on because this model of StuG had no intercom.

I don't know; I like those riders. Wish I had more. However, for the newer collectors, a new truck would be nice.
