Does anyone collect flats?

I know a person who sell more than 1000 flats, they look old, but kind of interesting, they are 30 milimeters height (infantry for example), but some are bigger than 30 milimeters ( riders on horses), there are also a lot of diorama pieces (threes, carts,...and such).

What is a good price to pay for this?

Is there a market for this?

Where can i sale them if i do not wannt them no more?

I do not wish to buy just as a "paper weight relic"

Price is highly subjective. There are all varieties of flats, in different sizes, as you've noted, and as far as age goes, in terms of general, broad-based production, reaching from the middle of the 18th century right down to the present.

You're probably best off looking at sources like auction sites, and noting opening and final bids, and looking at current sources, like Berliner Zinnfiguren. BZ includes the catalog of its original founder, Werner Scholz, as well as catalogs from other makers. Its website is https://www.zinnfigur.com. BZ also has a flea market section, and it's a good place to look at prices and see what the market will bear.

The British Flat Figure Society is another good place to look, https://www.intflatfigures.org/

Here in the US, we have a good seller of unpainted flats, Jack Muldoon's Little Tin Soldier, http://thelittletinsoldier.com/ That's a good place to look to get an idea of current retail prices, too.

It's a specialty market, within the specialty hobby of collecting toy soldiers.

eBay, toy soldier & figure shows, club meetings, here in the forum and elsewhere online. You could take some or all to the next Kulmbach fair and offer them to dealers or even other collectors there. Flea markets.

That's the risk we all face in collecting anything. If you like them, buy them.

Prost!

Thank you!!! Well it look like a real science. I think it will be fun to search if there are any gems in this big lot. If i buy them i will post some photos here, but it will take a long time to get them, a few months....in the meantime all of the flat collectors and experts are welcome here, so you can help me with the research or maybe someone will wannt to buy something, so that i can get some of the money back
