...........what ever became of the sheep that are pictured in this Spring 2009 catalog? (See top of the page near the house). It was rumored at the time that WB was going to issue these and additional farm animals to accompany the farm house and the barn that was just released last month.

I never heard anything further on this and was wondering if anyone has some news about it. It's looking more and more like it was just a rumor. However it certainly makes sense that WB would issue a set of farm animals. (Why else would they display them in the catalog)? I know many here on the forum have requested some animals and with all the farm scenics that were issued over the past 5 years, one would think it would be a natural by-product.

If you're looking for sheep, K & C make some great looking sheep from their Life of Jesus series.

Good morning Mark . . . I keep asking both Richard Walker and Ken Osen about the sheep and additional live stock for the 18th/19th century farm stead buildings that WB have created. Whenever the subject comes up I am told that they are in the "works". I really do believe that eventually we will see a live stock offering that will include the sheep and other common farm animals such as chickens, pigs, a milk cow, a mule, etc. There has also been some indication of more "crops" to go with the corn rows that are currently available. I also have suggested civilian/farm hands figures, after all in both the AWI and the ACW, the civilians were surrounded by the conflict and were certainly an intragal part. I'll keep lobbying for us . . . . . all the best . . . .

Those same WB sheep and an English shepherd sculpted by Ken Osen were also meant to be part of the Jane Austen series. Perhaps Ken or Richard can shed some light on this.

I am eagerly awaiting the sheep, shepherd, and other Coldstream figures that were promised. Any word Ken/Richard?

Brad, you are right about that. In fact I already own the set you mention--it is a nice set!! I am thankful that at least one manufacturer has issued some farm animals. However I am hoping for some more and a variety of them at that.

Thanks for the info Mike. Man........in the works since 2009??!! Talk about torture! How much longer will we have to wait? I'd love to see WB come out with all the live stock and the crops you mentioned. Their products are great and I can foresee these potential future releases fitting in perfectly with the farm related items they've made in the past. Maybe, while we're wishing here, we can wish for other things like a feed trough, chicken coop and some farm tools.
