Obviously they brought back both the romans and Arnhem series. I am curious, for new collectors would they consider bringing back new releases to seemingly retired series such as the romans and kreigsmarine for example. Are there other series that K&C collectors would like Andy to revive. It seems odd to me that the largest TS company would not have an active roman series the same way wbritains really does not have an active ww2 ground series.

Although not rekindling per se, I would like to see K&C expand their Napoleonic range beyond the French campaign in Egypt and Syria and the Battle of Waterloo. After all, K&C's initial Napoleonic figures were from the Peninsular War (ref. "Collector" issue number 2, page 2) and I would love to see new Russians to expand on the long retired figures!
Cheers,
Brendan

They did bring back the WW2 Russian line after many of us asked for it.

Hi Guys,

I guess the answer would be a definite “YES”! Over the years, we did it with “Romans”...”Arnhem ‘44”...”The Real West”...and now “World of Dickens” to name a few. Obviously, we don’t do it with every single range because it all depends on the particular series concerned and its commerciality.

We do it when we think we’ve got something new-to-say (design wise) or when we feel the market is ready to move in that direction.

All kinds of deliberations take place as well as talks and consultations with dealers and collectors around the world to get their feedback and interest.

For Zulu Collector...I’ve got some nice ideas for both “Romans” and “Kriegsmarine” So who knows...?

As for “Napoleonics”...There’s a lot already in the pipeline with more to follow throughout 2015 and beyond.

Best wishes and happy collecting!

thanks Andy for the insight and the hope..lol I can only imagine what it must be like to balance current, future and rekindle past releases in a production environment.

I’ve got some nice ideas for... “Kriegsmarine”

I stumbled upon this thread (not too old) in searching for some additional information on the short-lived theme of the Kriegsmarine. Please excuse the "bump".
It is promising that there is some chance at seeing the retired Kriegsmarine theme "rekindled" with some fresh ideas. I've been collecting Afrikakorps and British 8th exclusively for a few years now and the Seehund really got me to delve out of the N. Africa campaign. I must say that I love the Kriegsmarine figures and accessories/vehicles, and would love to see K&C offer some fresh new additions to the theme. Perhaps I'll even do an entire review of the theme down the road (as my collection expands).

Hope to see it in the not-to-distant future!
