Don Cossacks??? (1 Viewer)

I would like to see French Hussars, British guards heavy cavalry or Brunswick or Prussian Cavalry. None of these lines have had widespread release.

I'm with DCN on this one. When was the last time anyone saw quality Brunswick Avante Guard or cavalry? Prussian Uhlan would be welcome as well, although following your French lancers, you may prefer hussars. Any British heavies would be great (1st Life Guards seem to be a popular request with fanatics (you may include me in that group), but suspect all manufacturers must be aware of both the void and interest in these and may be planning such...just guessing. French hussards, mais oui! And dont forget my suggestion for the vignette of the British infantrymen roasting a pig on a spit (seriously, man...my guys are hungry!)

And yes...I would totally go for any baggage train pieces, perhaps a nice field kitchen.

Brian, thanks for permitting us an opportunity to voice our opinions, requests, demands, and potential threats! :D

I think it would be fabulous to hear suggestions for growing our Waterloo series.

Anyone? All ears!

Here is my top ten.

1) BRITISH FOOT ARTILLERY.

2) BRITISH ARTILLERY LIMBER, HORSES AND RIDERS.

3) LIFEGUARDS.

4) ENNISKILLEN DRAGOONS

5) RED LANCERS (I MISSED OUT ON MOST OF THE POLISH LANCERS).:(

ALL THE ABOVE WITH WOUNDED.

5) FRENCH INFANTRY IN GREATCOATS WITH LOTS OF WOUNDED AND RETREATING POSES. I SEE THIS AS A CHANCE FOR THE COLLECTOR TO DEVELOP A COLUMN OF FRENCH IN MARCHING FORMATION (THEY WOULD BUY MULTIPLES) COMING UNDER FIRE FROM MUSKET AND CANNISTER SHOT AND RUNNING LIKE HELL (FROM THE HEAVY CAVALRY).

6) FRENCH ARTILLERY LIMBER, HORSES AND RIDERS TO GO WITH THE FRENCH ARTILLERY YOU HAVE ALREADY PRODUCED.

7) KINGS GERMAN LEGION CAVALRY.

8) LOTS OF DIFFERENT SUPPLY WAGONS AND SUPPORTS. FRENCH AMBULANCES, BRITISH AMMUNITION WAGONS, CAISSON..

9) BRITISH LIGHT CAVALRY.

10) CAPTURED FRENCH UNDER ARMED GUARD BEING MARCHED OFF TO BRUSSELS.

I'm glad I limited it to ten I could go on forever.:)

Regards
Paul

Wow! this list will be printed with other users additions being added, great ideas just great. Thanks for the help guys!!!!

I personally believe Collectors Showcase should stick with Waterloo for their main releases because there is so much still to cover. This period/battle has worldwide appeal and involved many European countries.
However, the occasional release of say 1812 Russia or the Peninsular in lowish quantities would test the water for potential sales.
I would personally buy everything Waterloo :D:Dand everything Peninsular :D:Dbut I would not buy a thing for 1812 Russia :(as I have no interest in this.
That is just my opinion so don't shoot me for it.;)
I suppose if CS needs the feedback from buyers a poll would be the best way to gauge opinion.
Paul

Agree!! Let's make a poll! (And for me I can say, I would prefer the russian Napo campaign!).

Certainly more French line infantry (Fusiliers) in attack march and advancing are a priority. In "great coats" would give them the flexibility for other campaigns besides Waterloo. These center line companies are needed for column attack on the British lines and buying multiples could be lucrative.
I also like the idea of an Old Guard last stand...........
Prussians really are a must as they have been neglected by 60mm, Matt style makers. They can also be used for the Leipzig campaign and Battle for France 1814.

I would like to also see musicians doing their second job of helping the wounded. Resting soldiers would also be great diorama fodder.
