On my business trip, I finally got to visit Doug Luna's home, meet his lovely wife Vicky, and see his collection. He has at least 10,000 toy soldiers, some amazing dioramas, and a large militaria collection, including over 60 magnificent antique swords. Of course my cell phone battery went dead after a took just a few photographs of the two most impressive dioramas in his collection: a magnificent castle and an ancient Egyptian temple, both made by model builders from Industrial Light and Magic (George Lucas' property is in the same town as Doug's home):

And the Egyptian Temple (the hieroglyphics were put on by laser, copied off the real Egyptian Temple at Karnak, and could be read by an egyptologist):

The castle drawbridge and portcullis both work, and there are working flickering electric torches inside the castle. Pretty epic stuff!^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool

Really cool!!!! Talk about the model builders he was fortunate to commission, they have to be some of the best I have ever seen!
