Dr. Brydon (1 Viewer)

Hello Martyn,

Thanks very much for the notice. The figure is on my radar screen.

Do you know if Trophy made this figure of Dr. Brydon based of Lady Butler's painting.

Cheers, Raymond.;)

Hi Raymond

I'll sure Trophy didn't make this figure, unless it was one of their very early sets pre-1990.

Cheers

Martyn:)

Hi Martyn,

Thanks very much for the super quick reply.

I guess it is safe to say Trophy "never" made a set of Dr. Brydon like so.

BMSS had a casting of Dr. Brydon on an exhausted horse.

Here is the link:

http://www.btinternet.com/~MODEL.SOLDIERS/supserv/mc39.html

Unfortunately, the BMSS figure is no longer available.

The figure on offer by DH looks very similar, but the base appears smaller.

A Dr. Brydon appeared on eBay about a year ago or so, but it was not Trophy.

If I recall correctly, most of us missed this listing. I shall have to do a search of previous postings.

It was about the same time as the Trophy set of Napoleon and the tricolour.

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Hi Raymond

I believe there was talk of a Trophy figure but I think it was something to do with Dr Watson though I never saw a picture of it

Cheers

Martyn:)

The figure is the same one as listed by the BMSS. It was originally sculpted for Music in Miniature and then passed on to the BMSS.As to why the BMSS have discontinued it is unknown

It is not mine Raymond
But it did go on ebay for about 500 USD a few months ago.
I think Tom Dubel has the details.
He was also not the buyer.

Hello Damian,

Yes, I know. The picture is from the seller (MN).

I am also not the buyer. It does not really matter who got the set in the end.
