Thanks guys for the ''Likes'' and the comments. The Iron Brigade is one of favorite units from the ACW, so I found the painting a pleasure to do.
Anyone interested in the Battle of Gettysburg and the regiments that fought there should read ''Covered with Glory - The 26th North Carolina Infantry
at the Battle of Gettysburg" by Rod Gragg. A great read that focuses heavily on the epic struggle between the 26th N.C. and the 24th Mich. in the Herbst Woods on the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg. Book reads like a novel - Very well done.
