This Mokarex/Café Storme piece looked really good. The info on her is that she is Virginia Oldoini, the Countess of Castiglione.

I read up on this lady and she was some kind of temptress, being the mistress of Napoleon III. There are some interesting pics of her on the web.

With the above, I decided to resculpt some parts of the figure to improve upon it. The hair, the bulkiness of the gown and the fan. She looks decidedly vampish.

She sure was 'into' photography; "five hundred photographs, covering almost forty years" !

Model very closely captures at least one of her gowns.

Yes, she certainly was. I have tried to capture her personae in this piece. The dark dress was to contrast with the other white dresses that I had done recently for similar figures. Here is an update on the painting.
