I've been reading the thread concerning what to do about potential dio only threads and there are several good suggestions there. I'm not sure myself as to what might be the best. One way might be to start a thread like some others have done in the diorama section as an ongoing thread of some sort that could run for years. Just keep posting your own personal dios on the one thread and update as often or as little as you like. Do this in place of creating a new thread every time you post a new scene. Anyway just a thought and since I brought it up, thought I might start my own dio thread for the time being until something concrete has been decided. Think I'll start with an old scene I did a while back with one of my favorite K&C sets, the Winter Tiger.

Thanks for that Rob. I'll plan on posting my dios/photos that are predominately K&C here unless something is decided upon by Shannon and the crew on a new plan for posting dio photos.

Duke, I think its a good idea that could work, here's hoping!

Duke, This seems like a very simple and effective concept.Good idea for starting this off !!!!

Look's very nice Duke, I have been meaning to order those JG miniatures winter bases,
they look good. :salute::

Thanks fellas for the nice comments. I'm going to be moving this thread to the new K&C dios/scenes area for future pictures of mine.

Here's an update to my thread. I few old Russians and a German casualty in a East Front scene.

Very, very nice scene Duke. The dead German brings even more realism to the dio! BTW, who makes the Russian tank?

Thanks for the comments guys.:smile2:

Sentaapua, the KV-1 is a 1/32 FOV model that I customized. It's really a nice model of the KV-1 by FOV, one of their best IMO, but I thought it would look better with a new paint job and markings. I gave it an entire new coat of dark green, a grime wash/dry brush dust & mud/some detail painting/etc. then added some Tamiya decals. I was going to keep on going with the mud/dust, but decided to stop for now. I might go back soon and dirty it up a little more.

Wonderful work Duke, it never occurred to me that it was FOV's KV simply because I didn't recognize it; your new paint job is great!{bravo}}

Thanks again. Maybe one reason you didn't recognize it is because I left the logs off of the sides. I didn't really like the look of the logs for my set up so I left them off for the pictures, but here is a picture of them after I dry brushed them a little.
