Wondering how ED tanks holdup with King and Country figures? Are they same sized as K&C vehicles? Looking to get some tanks and armored vehicles and hope they size up with K&C vehicles. Any thoughts out there?

ED AFV are 1/30 scale so the K&C, TGM & TCS figures don't really work well with them

FL figures are close but IMO a little on the small size

Find War Park figures work best with the ED Vehicles as will TGM vehicles.

Some of the K&C vehicles (Normandy Panzer IV , Kursk Tiger) that are around 1/30 including the first King Tiger will work but the larger scale 1/28 and TCS don't work with ED so it would be hit and miss.

Figarti vehicles seem to fit and FL again close but a little on the small side

I have never understood the FL is too small opinion, but that’s what it is. I have lots of ED vehicles with FL figures and they work great for me.

I agree ED is generally too small for K&C and TGM figures.

There are two exceptions for ED. The short barreled Panzer IV D and the Tiger were both pretty large in some dimensions. I believe at least two members (Duke and TomNT)’have K&C figures with the ED Tiger and they looked pretty close.

When they were identified as oversized I did not buy them so I cannot confirm.

I also have all but the latest Stug (two barrel option) from ED on HB have posted comparsions with FL and ED are a little larger in size so which is true 1/30 is another debate.

It is just my opinion that FL figures just don't work aswell with ED as War Park

As far as K&C & TGM my experience don't work together but happy to revisit

Do K&C and TGM go well with a ED Tigers mate?

Wayne,

Not as well as they do with TCS & the larger K&C models.

If I get a chance tonight I'll do some pictures and email to you.

Lucky I have the winter & grey tigers which I'm assuming are the ones that interest you

Here is a quick shot of the Whitman with the ED winter Tiger

Wayne,

If you go to the HB forum Vehicle and Figure Measurement and Scale Assessment section look up the ED Tiger with various figures thread

Duke started it and with add on from other collectors you will see what I have been talking about

Put a War Park or FL figure into scene and see which looks appropriate

Also if you have one of the 1/28 TCS Tigers place it into scene with the K&C figure and see how much better it looks.

For another contrast use tank riders

I put the Whitman back in cabinet and its a bear to get out, so here is a shot of WP and FL in front of the ED.
I don"t own and CS tanks only a prime mover

WP tank loaders IMO look better with the ED Tiger than the K&C & TGM figures

If you used your TCM Prime Mover with both WP and K&C WP won't look right and K&C would look they belong with it

Mark

I use both with K&C/TG and with the ED or K&C tanks or the WP/FL with them, as a I don't really care as long as it looks ok to my eye.
But for guys who are really concerned about the scale issue the ED tanks work better with the Fl/WP size In most peoples opinion.

Great dioramas and photos Tom! The ED Tiger I has been measured at 1/29 scale. I think this is probably intentional as it looks reasonably accurate with both 60mm (FL, WB, KP &WP) and 66mm
( K&C, TCS & TG ) figures IMO.

Camera angle can make either figure size look very realistic. Base thickness does nothing to enhance realism. Panzers could be mounted on 3mm plinths to offset the figure base height and both the Panzer plinth and figure bases could be concealed in ground cover materials.

The K&C figures with the camouflaged Tiger I in your third photo are perfectly scaled; top of heads even with the Tiger I deck.
