Some new "stuff" from Scott (Arnhem44mad) who has just acquired this set. I say to Scott, "Bravo"! Great catch!
Mike

PS-Scott says to forgive him, he didn't shave this morning!

What a great set Scott, bet you are well chuffed with it.

Did you manage to keep your AZW figures?

Well Scott, when you have a set like that in front of you there are more important things to do than shaving! Congrats and enjoy!

Cheers,
Paulo

Great set. One more reason to mourn the passing of Trophy. -- lancer

Hiya guys:D

Lmao:DI know I do need a shave, especially for tomorrow since I am going out with the burd:D

O.M.G.:eek:Love that set:eek:
One of the best things I have ever bought, if not thee best:D
And you're right Paulo, deffinetly more important things to do;)

I know lancer, but the chap who owns Maison Militaire has bought Trophy, and I think is contemplating starting some Trophy ranges all over again!
Will probably skip this farm set of course, but would be good if he could keep the legacy going!:D

Just shows that if you want something, and you are dedicated to getting it, that you CAN achieve getting it, and also that dreams do come true:D

Thanks very much Mike for posting the pics:D

Yes mate, I did, however I was glad to sell one set to Martyn, (GICOP) which I was very happy about:D

Trying to sell my Zulu stuff still but:)

If anyone is interested I have tonnes of Trophy Zulus and also Little Legion Zulus:D

Hi Scott,

My congratulations on your fine new Trophy acquisition !!

You must be sitting pretty on cloud nine and rightly so.

I am amazed at how fast you managed to get the set which looks as if it came in all the original Trophy boxes.

It is less than 10 days since you posted your thread "Willing to Trade All My Trophy Miniatures Zulu Sets For 'Attack On La Haye Sainte".

I am just curious where you managed to find this gem of a set in such quick time ? the storeroom in Berkshire.

Best, Raymond.

:)

Nice score its a great looking set , and added to your collection
faster than a speeding bullet :).

Lets just say that I have a contact and he is a LEGEND:DAnd I would never have gotten this set if not for him:D

By the way, does anyone know if the men and oficer from the Napoleonic French set WA28 goes with the figures with the La Haye Sainte set, some of the figs have green balls on the top tip of their hats, others have red dots, and all have backpacks apart from the officers and Sappers:D

Thanks all:D

Congratualations on picking this up, Scott. You must have some fantastic connections.

As for the head gear question, red discs, plumes or balls generally indicate grenadier company troops, while green would typically indicate light or voltigeur company men. The portion of D'erlon's corps assaulting La Haye Sainte would certainly have included both types among its constituent Regiments.

Hope that helps.

Great purchase, the possibilities are endless when setting up dioramas. I got mine from jim hillistad about 10 yrs ago. It was the most expensive item that i had ever bought at the time besides my house. It is my favorite trophy item and i was lucky enough to pick up an extra set 0f 6 kgl firing down from mike laeding. I hope you have a lot of fun finding items to add on to the set. There are a couple offered on ebay right now. Good luck
