The following is an incredible story about the stalking scandal that employees of eBay carried out against two bloggers. The two upper management officials involved left eBay but did not suffer any penalties.

I read that a few weeks ago...
the length of retaliations that the Ebay management team went to was way out of line...
the whole story seems unreal...
but I guess it is true...

I can’t conceive of anything like this taking place at other big companies. When I was working we were constantly having to take courses about ethics and various other policies. If you didn’t take them when you were supposed to your manager was notified. However, you shouldn’t need to take courses to know right from wrong. eBay sounds like it has a terrible corporate culture.

when I first read this...the article kind of pointed the finger at the team manager...and everyone else seemed to follow in his footsteps...some of the things they did were so petty and disgusting...it's almost unbelievable...

I always find it amazing how the first one of the perpetrators to squeal always plays themselves as a victim. I find that BS, they should take the responsibility for their actions. Plain and simple, you can quit the job at any time and when things like this occur, it would be a reasonable expectation that you would leave. There is nothing remotely legal or moral regarding any of these actions. Disgusting.

Geeez, I see that much of the action happened in my home town of Natick, Mass! The cops must be a lot smarter than they were then, when one of them was fired for consorting with the girlfriend of a guy who was robbing the place the off-duty cop was supposed to protect. Roman (the cop) gave me a hard time too (once), but not after my Dad let it be known to the Chief. But it's still a great town!
