My father purchased a train on Ebay @ 900 Euro that never arrived. Despite both sides communicating the train never came. A claim was made through Palpay and the money was recovered.

Nine months later the train arrived. It had gone to Austria instead of Australia via South America (??). Palpay was contacted and the money returned.

Strange but true story!

I sent four Corgi 1:72 WW II planes to Taiwan (Inured USPS Priority) and they landed in Norway. I was watching this process via tracking and called once I saw that the kites cleared customs there. USPS claimed responsibility and had to reroute them. This ended up being a two month adventure. By The way, the shipping label was via the computer in addition to another huge font typed one on the box too. No explanation was given but I can assume that human error played a BIG part here. I think that having the items insured might have helped me out on this one but then again I send everything insured to cover my "SIX".
