I just got this from ebay. As it was an older set, I paid a premium and don't mind about that. But looking at the figure's right shoulder, do you think this was repaired? If you have one, can you take a look and let me know if there is some variation of color at the shoulder and the shoulder joint line is slightly visible. Thanks

Zach...the coloration looks okay...I don't know how consitent they can actually be in a mass production line...

concerning the gap (exposed joint)...I collect this series and several of the figures have an exposed gap in places...

Zach,

If you don't like the discoloration and don't want to try to touch it up yourself, I can probably get Mike to fix it.

Let me know.

The fig had to be cast and assembled in kit form with the arms out like that. Getting a entire figure out of a very deep/thick mold would be possible, but not a good production process. Too many problems. Better to do them in pieces and factory assembled . Thus a seam, hard to hide on a bare shoulder, but done about as well as possible.

I don't have a good photo of the particular figure in question but if you look at the extreme left figure in the photo below, which I took from Toy Soldiers USA, you can see the seam in the right arm.

Thanks for the responses. It doesn't really bother me, I just didn't want to have paid a premium for a repair. I'm satisfied!

Do not worry, your K&C EA 025 set you got via an eBay deal looks splendid!

Was it from you?

I am quite pleased with it. I have loved this set for so long and finally decided I HAD to have it!
