I wanted to share this publically as it is a may save you a headache! There is a seller new to ebay selling St. Petersburg Figures out of Fort Bragg California. Here is an experience in a nutshell - I made 4 best offers that were accepted. I then requested a combined total. Overnight I got back 4 ebay messages threatening me, insulting me and get this - asking for payment. Mind you the offers went in late last night. SO, I immediately reported the seller to ebay, as well as sent 4 requests to cancel. How on Earth is this is a reputable seller based on these actions?

Let this serve as a warning to any prospective buyers. Here is a link to an example auction https://www.ebay.com/itm/The-St-Pet...377868?hash=item59352f3e0c:g:bY0AAOSwClxdbVy0

For the record, my only communication was the template "ebay request an invoice".

As in a lot of cases lately in life - you just can't make this up........

That is why I seldom deal with sellers who have low feedback.

The guy has 100% positive feedback.

I think Brad meant he has 4 transactions. But all positive hence the reason I took a shot. However here is one of the 4 replys he sent to my "request for total" ebay message:

Your a fool I you are the loser and if we find you I’m ganna show. You what happens to thief’s there are consequences for your actions and carma. For your unhealthy way of living when you get caught being a worthless person to all people who are above you and will always be below

If anybody can let me know how that is an appropriate reply to a "canned ebay template requesting a total", please enlighten me.

His feedback is 4, not 400, not 4,000, but 4. I’m not dealing with someone with low feedback.

You’re better off not dealing with him. Punctuation is not his strong point apparently.

Yeah, reading this, my thought was that it's a foreigner using a US address/registration. Russian and Red Chinese are the first two nationalities that come to mind.

I'd be curious to hear what eBay has to say, Tom.

Prost!

Ebay allows you to report the behavior, what they actually do, who knows, but they did tell me if I get any non payment filed, they will remove them. The sad thing in this whole incident is all I did was try to PAY the person!!! The whole situation is just dumbfounding! BUT humorous in some ways.

I did laugh after a bit, I am trying to figure out how I am a thief when I am the one trying to pay!!!!

God only knows what he is trying to say...
his loss...

This makes no sense; if you don't deal with someone with low feedback, how is he supposed to get higher feedback if you don't buy from him?

Everyone starts on Ebay at 0 transactions.

As a seller I don’t mind because if the buyer doesn’t pay I will just deal with someone else. However, as a buyer, I just don’t have a lot of faith, based sadly on experience, with sellers with low feedback. If you want to, then by all means do so.

Well this gets better, just got 4 more threatening messages, just reported him again. Let's see if ebay does anything, this is just Nuts.

I get your point, George, but I get Brad's, too. How is that seller going to get more feedback? From other buyers, not from me. Let them be the guinea pigs.

It's the same as the policy some sellers have, that they won't accept bids from buyers with low feedback counts. Those buyers'll just have to build up their eBay creds.

I don't avoid buying from a seller with a low feedback count, but it is a red flag to me, that will lead me to take a look at the seller's profile, the specific feedback comments, and so on.

Prost!

Oh and for the record, I would not shed a tear if this person steps into oncoming rush hour traffic.......................seriously valuable oxygen is being wasted.

Yeah, I didn't expect necessarily that you might get a report of some kind, but I thought you might have a look at his account, see if he gets banned, etc.

I'm curious to have a look now myself, but I'll wait till I get home.

Prost!
Brad

Brad...it's almost impossible to get Ebay to ban someone...you would have to kill their CEO or a board member to get that to happen...they make no $$$ if you're banned...at best he will get a "red alert" email from Ebay with their generic soft caution literature...
