I received my panzer IV today and like all other ED products its well worth the money.
It will need some dirtying of the tracks and It does not have as much of the whitewash as the Tiger.
Here are some closeups, if anyone would like any more just ask.
I won't even look for faults after the resent post.{sm4}

Thanks for posting the great photos. The Panzer looks great, excellent details IMO. I look forward to ED's forthcoming King Tiger.

It really is Katana, the Tiger they produced is the best so far, but this is not far from it. Imo

It does look good, thanks for posting the pic's. Mine is in the mail and should arrive this week.

Tom,

Also received mine quite happy with this one much better finish than the short barrel I got last month.

Just got to do some comparisons with FL, Figarti & the Latest K&C to see what works together.

Have the grey version in Transit as well

Awesome stuff Mark, i'll be doing the same in what works well together. I have found that the ED Tigers will work well with K&C and TG figures.

I didn't order the ED grey Panzer IV but i'll grab a DAK version when it gets released.

Not wishing to disagree but not convinced that ED armour works all that well with K&C or TGM and also FL but does go with War Park.

The ED Tiger I is about 1/29 scale; so it looks reasonable with both 1/28 TCS, K&C, TG and 1/30 WB, KP and FL. Think of TG as tall and FL as short figures; but the TG will be well fed!

Not wishing to start an argument but do you have any ED Armour?

If you did you would be aware that TCS, K&C & TGM figures don't work with them and well feed won't cover the reason.

WP and KP will work with ED

FL and Ed just don't work as well as FL with FL

If you were on a different forum this matter has been adequately covered including photographs

I got this too, It looks great in the pictures, and by the way CdCc has it in both pictures and description, it will be perfect!!. I just wonder how the detailing compares to FL?.....
I really have not thought about collecting the WWII Eastern Front... This might just start it up.. And if it compares pretty close to FL. And with a great price point, it will be heavy...

Hey Mark

I agree that ED armour (Panzers II and III and the halftracks) are to small for K&C and TGM figures but for some reason the ED Tigers are larger in scale than their other panzers so that's why I think the ED Tigers will work well with those figures although I suppose some of the larger K&C figures may not work so well with the ED Tigers. K&C figures tend to vary a bit in size with the older figures being smaller and the newer figures being larger. In any event, the ED Tigers are almost the same size as most of the K&C Tigers.

Tom

So far all the ED I have works well with FL including Panzer II, Panzer III, Kubelwagon and Protzes

The ED tiger will work with K&C figures in the same way that the K&C tigers work with the K&C figures. If the scale being dead on is important to you then it won't.
But the ED tiger is a bit larger than the K&C ones , so if you put K&C figures with K&C tanks and the scale doesn't bother you, ED will blend fine then.

Mark as Tom has pointed out the ED Tiger I is 1/29. The Panzer II and III are 1/30. I have not yet seen the measurements of the ED Panzer IV to deterimine what scale it is. Can you please provide the measurements of your example?

FL figures work best with FL Panzers as they are short and slim when compared with WB, or KP 60mm figures; which actually measure 58 to 60mm. I use both with 1/30 Panzers and they are very realistic IMO. I have posted many photos of them on the forum.

Which Forum?

What I'm going to do this weekend is take a bunch of pic's in a dio setting with my ED winter, desert and camo Tigers married up with K&C figures from those respective theaters and some TGM figures. I don't go by measurements, just what looks right by the eye.

I'll also try to do some size comparison pic's with my ED Tigers and my K&C Tigers. I have already done some comparison pic's with one of my ED Tigers and a K&C Tiger in another thread.

Furthermore, I have compared my ED DAK Tiger with my Figarti DAK Tiger and the ED Tiger looks slightly larger. I'll try and post some pic's of them together as well.

Kat

I never pointed out the ED Tiger is 1/29 scale, all I have said is that it's larger in scale than the previous ED Panzers and I think it will work fine with some (not all) K&C figures as well as TGM figures. Like I said before, K&C figures tend to vary a bit in size with the older figures being smaller and the newer figures being larger. Like I also said before, I don't go by measurements, just what looks right by the eye.

I have two FL Tigers and they are clearly smaller than the ED Tigers whilst one of my K&C Tigers looks about the same size as my ED Tigers. As I said in my last post, i'll try and do some more size comparison pic's between the brands this weekend. My ED Panzer III was close in size to my now sold FL Panzer III. That tells me that the ED Tigers are slightly larger in scale to the rest of their Panzers.

Look forward to seeing your comparison photos Tom. I also hope some photos or numbers for the ED Panzer IV are posted. The lack of size consistency with the ED Panzers is disappointing! I suppose if you are trying to work with all figure sizes from K&C to FL it makes some sense to make your Panzers a median size. But than no one is satisfied with the size discrepancies. FL and TCS have the right approach; make figures and armor the same size!

ED Tigers are 1:29th Scale....They work best with War Park and WB....Not as well with FL
