When is someone going to come out with a nice glossy English Civil War range? I will only be interested in a glossy range for these as I am taking my collection in a different direction! Britains would be a good candidate as their glossy figures have improved immensely into more of a hybrid design rather than pure traditional.

Anyone else interested in this range and would you prefer matte or glossy? :)

This would be a great line to make in Glossy and I know I would collect it. I am not sure if WB would make them anytime soon but I wish they would especially with some of the amazing sculpters and painters they employ these days!

The English Civil War is a very niche area of interest as far as historical eras go. Having said that the Roundheads V Cavaliers would be an interesting series.

If a mainstream brand was to do it I very much doubt they would do them in gloss. If there was such demand for gloss somebody would have done it for Naps etc already. Some may be aware K&C had gloss versions of their early Sons of Empire and also has gloss and matt SOHK. Not one of my collectors has ever chosen the gloss version. I have had one collector order in Britains gloss figures. From my perspective gloss is not commercial enough.

Some may know the name but isn't there a UK company making ECW figures already.

Regards
Brett

Mulberry did quite an extensive range of the ECW including infantry, cavalry and artillery. I don't know if they are still in business or were taken over. I have close to 200 of their glossy ECW figures and they have a very unique style. There were several other makers in the UK but I can't remember their names.

Not being a collector of gloss finished figures then my answer would be No!!...But a series in matt would be quite tempting i believe!!.
