An early Britains advertisement. How early? I don't know, but I imagine
the Boy has grown up a bit.:)

That is a really nice piece of advertising but the price is over the top.

Every boy may love them but only an adult can afford that :D

Nice for sure however, have to wonder whether this will go for that price

Hi Guys:

I really like this piece. What if we redid it, slightly different and offered it for sale? What would you like to see on it? Just like this one, with new figures, a mix of both old and new? And how much would be a fair price?

Thanks,

Richard

I think a mix of new and old Richard, perhaps 8x11 in size. I think using say the new 17th lancers with the old 17th lancers, new and old Grenadier guards would be nice. Old glossy Zulus with the matte and new glossy Zulus would be nice also.

As to price, no idea? I guess it would depend on the cost of getting it made. Perhaps allow the option of having it unframed or framed.

Richard I think this one is rather good the only difference id like to see made is to make the Highlanders a Cameron to represent the 1st limited edition set & maybe change the guard for a 24th foot to represent the great Zulu series you have created since the 1st gear take-over.

I would rather not have illustrations of actual figs, or pictures of gigs, but just illustrations of the soldiers they represent. I can always take my own photos, but I could not pass up some good quality military illustrations. I think it would be essential to maintain the style, and to do only brits. Maybe make a series that covers all of the Redcoats or something. I would pay what I would pay for a similar sized print (around 1' by 1'), which is $15-$25. Unframed is the way to go.

I'm glad you like it. A bit pricey unless it is an signed orginal and to the right
collector. Alway to the RIGHT collector. LOL If a print way over. If an artists
proof about half. It may just be an advertisement to get people to their
booth Saturday. People often overprice on eBay just to get your attention.

I personally don't like prints, but maybe a reproduction would look
nice in the front window of a dealer's shop. A smaller one for $15-20
for club members OR even a T-shirt using the image. I wouldn't
change the image for nostalgia's sake if nothing else. But if you do
decide to change the image think about an annual release with a
different take on 2010, 2011 and etc. highlighting that years big
releases.

Hi Guys,

I like the idea of using older styled fonts and graphics in a current add because it gets the attention of folks. Especially if it is run in a periodical outside the TS/Military History world. Still this one is way over the top for pricing unless its an Artists proof.

It is a nice piece if I could I would think it would be neat to take a project a few steps more. Something like what CWPT does with their appearl line...Lot of options and color.......Would love to see WB Tee shirts and polo's non black..........anyway interesting part of WB history...
