General Omar Bradley, recently arrived in Casablanca after the successful Torch Landings of 1942, has his photo taken by a G.I. photographer for Yank Magazine outside "Rick's Cafe Americain" later made famous to American audiences by Humphprey Bogart in the 1943 film Casablanca.When Rick learned the Americans were in town, he left the Free French Garrison at Brazzaville to return and reopen his cafe to host his fellow countrymen.
