Does anyone have the exact length and height of the new Figarti E Boat?
Do the dimensions include the stand? Please give both if you know them.
Thanks
Harvey

Harvey - I just measured mine- 44 inches long, the bottom of the stand to the top mast - 19 inches. It is 6 inches wide.

Let me know if you need any other measurements..

I love mine!

Greg:

Are the figures glued to the boat? Are there figures inside the helm station/inside cabin (is the top removable to view interior?). How are the quality of the figures compared to KC sculpting? Are you over-all happy with the E-boat?

I am seriously considering getting one for myself. Thanks for the info

Dear N-P,

The figures with the original E-boats sold at the Chicago Show were glued to the boat, but I understand there was some a problem with shipping these first boats, and the figures now come unglued so a collector can place (glue) them anywhere they want. The top of the wheelhouse is removable to view the bridge. The following thread has close-ups of the bridge crew with the top removed: http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5455

This thread has some other pictures of the e-boat:

As you can see, the style of the painting and sculpting is different from K&C.

Hope this helps.:)

I love the boat, but the faces of the soldiers are to dark for me...

Thanks for the info. Do you think the KC Kriegsmarine will match with the E-boat figures?

Thanks

Guys,
Just to clarify the hull has pre positioned holes for the figures to be placed alongwith a pictoral guide. The figures themselves have a small "tab" on the foot and a bit of sticky wax works great in holding them in place particularly if like me you display in a "hull down position" as if under power.
By the way see my post under Figarti N'burg show.
Regards
Clive

Hello Showman,

Can you tell me about the rudders, I don't see them in the pictures. Does it have 3 rudders? are they aligned with the propellers?

I like the second type S-boot with the Skull Cap bridge and covered torpedo tubes better than this first type. I wounder if Figarti will do the second type as well?

Yes Greg, that helps, and thank you.

The whole SchnelleBoote concept was based on these Very Rudders. It was the Rudders position in the propeller stream that made the speeds of these, eboot possible.

This was called the " Lurssen Effect ". And it was a national secret through out the war. The British went through great effort to capture a S-Boot, without success, to find the secret behind the speeds these boat could achive.

I'm interested in maybe purchasing one, on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate it, Greg? Your opinion? :)

Regards, Paul

I would love two things. The spare change needed for the Boat and a boat house to put it in!
