Wow! What a great feature, just used it. Sorry, there are people in this forum who just post endlessly and never have anything to say.

Jeff,

I'm not sure what the Buddy List is for. I can ask Shannon tomorrow. She may know better.

Buddy and Ignore Lists

The buddy list is used to keep track of the friends you have made on this forum. By going to your "Open Buddy List" in "Quick Links" menu of the navbar, you'll be able to see which of your friends are currently online and send them a private message. Adding people to your buddy list also allows you to send private messages to multiple forum members at the same time. You may add any member of the forums to your buddy list by viewing their profile or by going to "Buddy / Ignore Lists" in your "User CP".

Ignore lists are used for those people whose messages you wish not to read. By adding someone to your ignore list, those messages posted by these individuals will be hidden when you read a thread.

Jeff, Fred, and anyone else - save your effort.

I am benching myself.

I found Andy and Gordan at the Westcoaster just Great. Andy and Gordan were always around and always willing to talk about anything. The Q&A session sponsored by Sierra Toy Soldier was very informative, even if Steven felt Andy repeated himself a little to much. The Dioramas Gordan made are amazing and Stevens photos, while wonderful, do not do the dioramas justice. The wrecked factory was amazing, such detail! Several dealers and individuals had lots of K&C figures, However, a majority of the figures were the most current releases, very few figures dating back to a year or more and even less old version K&C figures. I did find two Royal Marines dating back to K&C early days. Tom

Tom,

It's unfortunate but it's just getting harder and harder, if not downright impossible to find retired K & C at shows any more (at least at less than ebay prices).

However, it sounds like you made a great find with those Royal Marines. Congrats!!

I found some wonderful early K&C stuff (nothing you were looking for Brad) at prices that were 50% less than original list price 10 to 15 years ago. The dealer specialized in composition figures and had got the K&C as part of a composition collection he purchased. He knew it was K&C but did not know anything about the figures (all the sets were mixed up) or value. You just have to get to the rooms early like Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.;) :D

I wanted to report on the West Coaster but the ever thorough Steven (quite a nice guy I might add) and Carlos (IBID) did a spectacular job via thorough rhetoric & photography. I too enjoyed the talk by Andy & Gordon which was made possible by Sierra Toy Soldiers. I learned some new history in regards to K&C and found Andy very charismatic and friendly. Gordon's work no matter what people say about the cost was/is a work of art as are those amazing aircraft which a picture can not do justice! My wife was even amazed & highly interested. I knew she was doing ok at the show when she looked at me and said "I am off to see the RUSSIAN." NIJA knows what I mean!
