In December 1941 Henry "Hank" Stoughton was a young man on the rise in the legal department of Paramount Studios in Hollywood. Soon after the war broke out he traded in his plush office and executive secretary for the cockpit of a B-25 Mitchell bomber, flying missions in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. His crewmates appropriately nicknamed him "glamour puss."

(I know he is supposed to be a fighter pilot and likely with the 8th AF but the B-25 in the MTO and Pacific are my favorites.)

Indeed they are. WW2 fighter pilots were like the celebrities of their time, its appropriate that they be photogenic.

are you saying that you generally download the backdrops for your photos from the internet? I always thought you were well traveled internationally as well as an experienced time traveller?

Or used calendar photos.

Both Corgi and Frontline have done RAF dispersal sets. But imagine what a K&C set would look like
