In December 1941 Henry "Hank" Stoughton was a young man on the rise in the legal department of Paramount Studios in Hollywood. Soon after the war broke out he traded in his plush office and executive secretary for the cockpit of a B-25 Mitchell bomber, flying missions in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. His crewmates appropriately nicknamed him "glamour puss."

(I know he is supposed to be a fighter pilot and likely with the 8th AF but the B-25 in the MTO and Pacific are my favorites.)

These US and German AF pilot figures have to be some of the most realistic K&C has done! They are very photogenic.

Randy

Indeed they are. WW2 fighter pilots were like the celebrities of their time, its appropriate that they be photogenic.

Can you ask him to turn to the right a little - also raise his chin just a tad :D

Randy,

are you saying that you generally download the backdrops for your photos from the internet? I always thought you were well traveled internationally as well as an experienced time traveller? :D

Or used calendar photos.

Hi Guys,

A big congratulations to Polar Bear on this air force scene… All his work is terrific but this B25 shot is one of his finest… I like the pilot figure too! Look out for more…

Best wishes and a big… Well Done!

Thank you Andy, Jadg, Andanna, Ron, Harris, Vick & Huff. This was a fun shot to do. It's exciting that Andy will be adding more to this series. Just think of the diorama possibilities. Here are just a few examples. The last WWII photo shows some of the variety of Army Air Corps uniforms

Great photos Randy, I especially like the 3rd picture. Didn't Frontline do something similar to that?

Once again Randy, very nice photos ... prints really.

Also, when you wrote,

When I read that, I smiled, and felt better about my so-so internet abilities.
