Anyone keep exotic pets or anything that just turned up and made a home for itself.
This blue tounge Lizard has been living with us for about 5 years we named him "BLUEY" he comes and go's in and out of my Garage.
But spends most of his time outside in the sun...I placed this 54mm fig to give an idea of size.
The kids like him and pat him on the back most lizards tend to run off if you get to close i geuss he like us!

That would bring back memories.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Anyone recall all those "C-Grade Movies" that were in the 50's / 60's where Tokyo would be destroyed every Saturday morning by something like that lizard (Only 1000X bigger) or it would be stomping about in NY or London?

G-R-E-A-T Movies.{sm4}

Hey Ragnar, possibly a new career path ... monster movies maker????^&confuse
Larry

Yea Larry maybe :cool:...Some 1/72 scale tanks,jeeps and troops i think would work well.

The next shot should be Polly Crockett wearing the pelt of that critter.

What country are you in? The biggest we get around here are Alligator Lizards (maybe 8" with tail) and really small blue belly lizards. That looks almost simular to an American Skink due to the short legs. Pretty cool though.
Due to my addiction with Japanese monster movies as a child I would go with green army men.
By the way Gamera is so much cooler than Godzilla ....come on he was a flying turtle that breathed fire....a flying turtle!

A little island called Australia ^&grin.....These are the blue tounge Lizards and are very common.
The old Godzilla movies were great i remember king kong vs Godzilla that was fun staying up late to watch it as a kid!

I have Sugar Gliders - they come from your small Island. No pictures of them here at work, but you can google the name.

I think your lizard is very cool. I also like that he is still wild, but there has to be some reason he has adopted you. Do you feed him or provide water?

If you can get a shot of a figure on his back (something like the old soldiers that are stabbing their bayonet down) that would be cool looking too. Like his really fighting off the giant creature. It would have to be a plastic one I guess. But worth a try since you say he lets the kids pet him.

Matthew

Dont feed him but i do sometimes se him hang around the gargen hose tap that has the odd drip..
Funny thing happened once the back door was open and he came inside the wife screamed {eek3}.
I was thinking a Spartan with spear pointing down might work well.

I never heard of lizards wanting to be with people but it seems this one really is drawn to you and your family. Why not get to know him? He might be a good guy.

He may be a good guy but when i walk past and say hello i dont get a hello back!.
Well he does earn his keep as we dont se to many snails around so i geuss he snacks on them!

Florida is full of "exotic" pet places..usually dumped by the owners in the wild soon after ,why the state has twice the species of plants and animals native to the place.The everglades are full of pythons ,,anacondas etc.The genious owners find one wrapped around the kids neck and figure it may have been a mistake.

But do you address him in English or Lizard? Might just be a lack of understanding. Everyone should have a second language, I'm teaching the cats to bark, but it's hard work. Trooper

Teaching cats to bark might be tough!...A cat that we had a few years back would chase after a tennis ball which was rather funny.
Never could get it to bring it back though!
Bromhead snakes not a big fan of them they give me the creeps {eek3}

our cat fetches. she's dropping her ball at my feet as i type this. we have a mouse which she's been unable to catch so now she's keeping her skills up with fetch, kill, retrieve until later tonight. She's a great little killing machine. Patient and fast. She's caught at least 8 since we found her a year ago. We had a real problem till she showed up. And she's real friendly too.

So are you keeping the lizard around?

Sounds like a keeper there Gideon, we get the odd field mice which are very small but move very fast until the cat gets them.
Amazing how much speed cats have when they realy want something or they are being chased themselves {eek3}.
Yea we have no problem if the Lizard wants to stay infact he was snoozing by the back door this afternoon!

You might not want to picture your favorite figs with that Lizard Rob. That big boy might eat them! I have a black snake living in my shed. I left him alone so he would keep the mice down but, they have have their own little eco system going now and both snakes and mice are prospering.
